3rd-5th graders are invited to join us for our winter camp, WinterJam! This year's theme "Starry Eyed" will remind kids that the God who created everything there is- wants a personal relationship with them! Kids will become STARRY EYED as they see how over the moon in love with them God is. Each day is filled with Large Group time (worship and a lesson), small groups (where kids dig deeper) and fun activities (climbing an ice wall, sledding, or playing broomball). Kids will NOT want to miss this camp! A deposit of $25 secures your camper's spot and the remaining $75 is due by January 12th.

Ages: Girls and Boys Entering Grades 7 - 9 Dates: June 27 – July 1 Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Format: One-week session designed around challenging activities Location: Laurels Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights Tuition: $360/session Cabinets of curiosity, also known as wonder rooms, were collections of extraordinary objects used to categorize the world and tell stories about its oddities. In this class, we will create a wonder room by investigating several of the many ways in which science and art intersect. By highlighting the overlap between art and science, we will gain a better understanding of each, as well as a new appreciation for how art can play a role in scientific processes and how science can inform and facilitate the creation of visual art. This LEGO experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the popular game, Minecraft. Campers will have a blast, even without prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO. Mandarin - Little Dragons (Level 1) - Germantown Friends School
The objective of this club is to initiate what we hope will be a lifelong interest in a culture that is becoming an increasingly important player on the world stage. The program follows the My First Chinese Words curriculum, which offers an introduction to such key vocabulary as numbers, colors, body parts and animal names. Students will read supplementary Chinese storybooks, watch DVDs about Martial Arts and create arts and crafts related to Chinese holidays and traditions. Our bilingual, bicultural instructor, Wei Chen, is deeply committed to teaching Mandarin to children and to igniting their curiosity about foreign cultures.
