Youth Rugby is the fastest growing sport in America and is also an Olympic sport once again. New to the North Shore Area, the Rugby Academy introduces girls and boys ages 4 to 14 to a variety of fun and safe non-contact games. The rules are simple and easy to learn. Participants will learn great ball and running skills, while making friends playing an internationally popular sport. North Shore Rugby Academy strives to promote a positive, encouraging and professional coaching environment. The goal of the program is to ensure that each player has a safe and enjoyable sporting experience, learning the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and camaraderie. Equipment requirements are minimal, dress for the weather and be ready to have a great time playing a safe version of Rugby! Job Responsibilities include: -Assisting children as they transition on adn off the campus as well as in the classroom, ultimately supporting a positive and effect learning environment. -Following the lead of the classroom teacher and helping with transitions, group work, classroom set-up and helping get supplies and materials ready for each school day. -Helping student to eh pool, helping in the locker room before and after swimming while also assisting the pool staff with student needs. -Supporting the mission of the program and the needs of the teachers and children in all ways reasonable and within the parameters of the position. -Where appropriate, participate in all activities with campers, including specialty classes, free swim, camp meetings and cheers, etc. -Facilitate activities by taking an active role in facilitating a variety of games, sports, arts & crafts, etc. -Provide conflict-management mentoring to students. -Respond to parent and children concerns in an effective, professional manner. -Abide by the guidelines for expectations, behavior and attitude set forth by Summer Program Director, Mikki Frazier. - 5105311300 x2500

Judo Fun Camp - Tilden Middle School
This program, coached by a French Judo instructor. Judo is a martial art from Japan. Coach Frederic has been teaching Judo to students around the world for over 25 years. While teaching disciplines such as politeness, respect, self control and concentration students will also learn the complex forms of the martial art known as Judo. This martial arts program will teach and train students on the proper technique, muscular development, calisthenics, stretching, joint rotation, exercises, endurance training, sparring and sparring related drills. Everyday, you will improve your balance and have fun with many activities about judo like crafts, drawing, writing. Japanese and learn few words in French. Fun games, fun activities and contests, lets move your body and your creativity skills.
