Awesome Camp for Girls
I went to CJDA every summer growing up, and now my girls attend every summer. I love it because they’re learning how to interact with other girls. With all of the back-biting and bullying you hear about in schools nowadays, I believe that CJDA works to counteract that. Girls at this camp learn to love and appreciate other girls. Junior High at CREEKSIDE High School at LAKEVIEW Summer Camp at Forest Home is an experience designed to challenge, encourage and empower you. Ahoy all Mateys! Come aboard as we travel to Pirate Island where well find treasure chests, sandy beaches, colorful parrots and lots of fun! Our Mateys will use their imagination to create pirate ships, sand castles, treasure maps, sea monster puppets and ship flags to be used in our games and high seas adventures. Arrrgh! $20 material fee due to instructor on first day. Fly Fishing - The Evergreen School
Fly fishing is a sport that teaches patience, improves motor skills, and fosters an appreciation for nature. No one can walk away from losing a five minute battle with a stubborn trout without a deep respect for the fish! Students will learn the basics of fly fishing – setting up their rod and reel, knot typing, basic overhead casting, selecting the right fly, etc. Discussion will also include the history of fly fishing, how its different from other kinds of fishing, and entomology. Skyhawks Skateboarding Camp - Olympic Park
Experience basic skateboarding instruction with an emphasis on balance, pushing the board, kick turns, maneuvering, and manual. Campers will progress as they accomplish skills. A liability form must be signed by a parent before participation. Participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 12:1. All campers will receive a t-shirt and a merit award! Participants should bring skateboard, helmet/wrist/elbow pads, appropriate clothing, two snacks, water bottle, running shoes and sunscreen. Age 13-16, Session 08 - LMSS - A
Camp provides both first-time and experienced students with a basic understanding of sailing in a recreational, fun environment using the LMSS 420 sailboats, which are perfect for 2-3 sailors. Students will learn the basics of sailing; upwind, downwind, and sailing between two points, along with sail trim, knot tying and terminology. Graduation takes place at the end of each session, parents are encouraged to attend and see their sailors in action. 9524041645.0
