Ballet Camp - Cinderella - Germantown Friends School
Join the Cinderella Ballet Camp for a week filled with the joys of dance and music! Participants will read about and then recreate the magic of the Fairy Godmother, the pumpkin coach, and the glass slipper before journeying with Cinderella to the castle ball. Each day, Ballet Camp will begin with classical ballet instruction followed by activities such as ballet mime, performance games, and craft projects that will serve as props for the ballet. On the last day of camp, there will be a short recital, during which campers will perform a dance from Cinderella for parents and friends. Teaching our Cinderella Ballet Camp will be Fallon Gannon, who not only is a professional dancer with Ballet Fleming and Dance DelBello, but also is a very experienced dance instructor who has extensive experience teaching preschool and Kindergarten dancers in the Philadelphia area. Ballet Camp is a morning-only camp and participants may wish to stay for the all-new Junior Explorers/Explorers Day Camp or for the Computer Camp (for Kindergartners) during the afternoon session. The Bay Areas finest musical theatre professionals teach kids how to sing, act and dance! This adventurous program explores theatre through collective creation, story development and improvisation. Students also learn about various aspects of technical theatre, such as set construction, painting, costumes and make-up.
