Four FULL days of fundamental basketball while maintaining fun! This camp is designed to introduce the beginner to the game of basketball and develop the skills of younger players. We also visit with the team nutritionist about the importance of the healthy plate, attend the pool 3 days for a small break in the afternoon & team building activities throughout the 4 days. I cannot put into words how much CK has meant to me and I can't wait to relive the experience. Camp was easily the most life changing and happiest time of my life. With that being said....I'm back again!!! Back to plug how amazing this org and non-profit is and back to fundraising for the kids. For those of you who may not know, Camp Kesem is a camp for children's whose parents have been affected by cancer. Camp is their chance to live freely as children without any of the weight and worry of cancer. I'm so excited to embark on this journey again and can't wait until the countdown to camp begins!!! This is our second annual community yoga class that unites a diverse range of Atlanta community organizers, educators, and yogis through the practice of yoga! All proceed go to Red Clay Yoga, Inc.'s program Yoga, Literature, and Art Camp that is housed at Spelman College Museum of Fine Art. Through project-oriented instruction in our state of the art music lab, students will learn to compose, perform and record their music using interactive music software instead of traditional instruments. Curtains (A Broadway Musical Whodunnit)- 4 weeks - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
Newly licensed for teen productions, Curtains is a musical send-up of backstage murder mysteries set in the brassy, bright, and promising year of 1959 where Bostons Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night performance of a new musical, Robbin Hood of the Old West. The show follows the fallout when the supremely untalented star of the show is murdered during her opening night curtain call and the entire cast and crew are immediately suspects. It is up to Lt. Frank Cioffi, a police detective who moonlights as a musical theater fan to save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love before the show reopens, without getting killed himself. This Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee is filled with Broadway favorites like "What Kind of Man?", "The Womans Dead," and "Show People." Center Stage is where all actors dream to be! In this camp students develop foundational theater skills throughout the week by rotating through drama, dance, music and art class but all with our main goal - to have fun! Each session focuses on the music and stories of some of the best of Broadway as students work to create their own version of the story to present in a performance for family and friends on the final day of camp. Each session focuses on different music, so sign up for 1 or all 4 and meet us Center Stage. This session is "King of the Jungle" and uses Music from The Lion King, and Jungle Book among others. 817-421-2825
