If God threw a party, would everyone be invited? Would You? Well you are all invited to come on the annual Youth Winter Retreat What if Jesus meant something very different by the concepts of heaven, hell and salvation from how we have been taught and understand them? Pastor Larry DeVuyst will lead us to tackle these questions and more as we work through our retreat study from Rob Bell’s book, Love Wins, for Teens. As always there will be fun games, good food, and time with friends. Complete the retreat form found on WPC website youth page and turn it in to my mailbox with a check for $50 by 1/8. Jr. Choir - Valle Verde Elementary
Classroom: E-2 Instructor: Rick Abbott (No class on March 31 or April 28. Final performance May 12th) This enrichment class is taught by Mr. Abbott. Jr. Choir is a performing choir for 2nd and 3rd graders. We are performing the choral concert STAR MAKER – the TV Show. The songs are delightful! Ive done this concert many times because the kids love the music. The students will perform in two concerts: a daytime assembly and a formal night concert in the MUR. For 3rd graders, there are opportunities, by audition, for solos, small group numbers, and narrator parts. Proper solo vocal technique, as well as ensemble vocal technique are taught. Make new friends; develop confidence while performing onstage for an audience. The songs are upbeat and lots of fun! Tuition payment includes: practice CD, song booklet, weekly rehearsals and two concert performances. Rehearsals are fun and musically invigorating. 415-314-1749

Parents can go out for some free time knowing their children are being inspired on a Friday night! Each Friday we will be offering a 3 hour drop off class, with a break for some pizza and a game. Students will be guided through a 1 day art project with room for creativity and exploration. Skilled instruction whether your child is a beginner or a seasoned artist looking to learn new techniques. 732-530-3444

Our Junior Academy sessions offer top quality instruction to take your game to the next level. We will work on the technical side of your game at game speed and under game pressure through exercises and competitions that will help improve first touch, receiving and playing the ball with different surfaces of your foot, passing and shooting accuracy, service over distance, defensive positioning, heading, finishing, and MORE! We will also build on your tactical awareness of the game and your understanding of runs off the ball, defensive organization and communication, along with how to deal with numbers up vs. numbers down situations. Hang with the Bears on and off the field and learn what it takes to be a Division I college soccer player. Residential campers reside in Unit 3 Residence Halls in the center of the UC Berkeley Campus. All campers dine in the state-of-the-art Crossroads Dining Center. Receive position specific coaching on technique and drill work from some of the finest coaches in the country! This course is being offered in conjunction with the Webb Institute in Glen Cove: a private engineering college that offers a dual major in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Students work individually or in teams to design and build a boat that serves a specific mission. Each team is given a list of materials and then must collaborate on the design and construction of their boat. Student volunteers from Webb will assist the teams in applying engineering and physics to enhance the design of their projects. The week culminates with a field trip to the Webb Institute, where students get to test their construction skills under various conditions, tour their amazing facility, and visit the Robinson Model Basin to put their designs to the test by completing numerous challenges.
