Teen Lifeskills Camp - Pensacola, FL
The goal of the Teen Life Skills Camp is to prepare the youth for adulthood by teaching and building upon their life skills. They will spend two days in a warm and nurturing environment learning principles of manhood, woman hood, interpersonal communication skills, problem solving skills, team work, collaboration and culture competence. This event will start off at Deliverance Tabernacle Christian Center and then the learning environment will shift to Oak Grove Park on Naval Air Station Pensacola. During the course of the 3 day, 2 night camp, they will be apart of discussions: (the young men)the role and purpose of a man, leadership, teach them how to tie a neck tie and they will receive a tie. Teen Driving Boot Camp in East Rutherford
Students in the area will get to have their first (hopefully) Oh My God moment while driving their own vehicle. The only driving education offered to teens is Driver’s Ed in high school (sitting behind a desk) and then 6 hours behind the wheel to get their permit. This camp, guided by the Montessori method, offers a mix of quiet play, story time, and outdoor activities that follow the rhythm of the child and the particular group. Activities may include play with clay, puzzles, and Legos; trips to the school library; nature walks; and harvesting snacks from the school garden. Children can nap if they need to. DISCOVERY - SAFE SITTER (Session 3) - Notre Dame Academy
Participants in this course will learn the "basics" of child care. Topics will include engaging in age-appropriate activities, safety and security, handling emergency situations and how to manage those hard-earned dollars! Basic child care skills will include diapering, feeding and maintaining a safe environment. Students will learn how to properly administer CPR in a life-threatening emergency, such as choking. Here is a great opportunity for boys and girls to learn new basketball skills and improve on existing skills, all while getting a workout. Camp Director, Sean Birdsong, has been around the game of basketball for most of his life. The son of former NBA All-Star, Otis Birdsong, Sean played locally at Bonner Springs High School and collegiately at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. Sean has also played at the professional level in the CBA, PBL, and NBA D-League workouts. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. Direct from NEW YORK CITY, Broadway Workshop returns to Saint Michaels Playhouse for its 9th summer. Camp Vermont is a five day musical theater camp. Learn from Broadway Workshops acclaimed staff from New York City, as well as Playhouse stars who have worked on Broadway and at theatres across the country. For 2016 this camp will take place from Tuesday-Saturday (July 5th-9th) Campers will take center stage performing in 2 different hit Broadway musicals medleys specifically arranged for Camp Vermont. Every camper will get to step in the spotlight and be featured with lines and solos. In between rehearsals, campers will participate in theatrical workshops taught by special guest teachers.
