Just because its summer doesnt mean the learning has to stop. Bring your curiosity and check out our newest camp, High-5. We will explore fun activities to enrich your learning. From building projects to cooking and science experiments; Camp High-5 will blend traditional summer games, art & crafts with exciting, indepth, hands on theme based projects. High-5 is moving to a new location on site at Red Morton Community Center, with its very own fenced in playground and in room bathrooms. Come & taste the adventure! The Avengers Mentoring Organization (501c3) presents it's 3rd Annual Charity Fireworks Fundraiser for our 5th Annual Summer Camp! Our FREE summer camp serves 300 children ages 6-13 in and around the Metro-Detroit area. This daily camp runs from July 11, 2016-August 19, 2016. Locations are: The Golightly Education Center (5536 St. Antoine) and George Crockett Academy (4851 14th St) in Detroit. During the camp, children are involved in team sports such as: volleyball, basketball, kickball, baseball and more, arts and crafts, group mentoring, outdoor recreational play and are also served by a mobile dentist. Meals are provided by Good Samaritan Food and is run by up to 25 volunteers! Field trips are also optional and available! This year's theme is "Celebrate and Laugh," the fireworks is a tradition in Metro-Detroit, get a magnificent view of the fireworks at One Woodward on the 19th floor! Enjoy a barbecue style meal, laughs by Comedians Mic Larry and Simply Shanell and enjoy the sounds of singing sensation and recording artist Johnyce! There will be music, dancing and many activities, as well as a VIP charter ride to and from the event! But most of all, you will be a part of helping the Avengers...

Learn the art and science of fishing from a true expert. We will be escaping the Valley heat by traveling north to some of the best hidden fishing holes where fishing is at its best. Participants will be provided with transportation, fishing pole, and bait. Bring a large lunch, a lot of water, your valid AZ fishing license and appropriate clothing for the weather (close-toed shoes are required). *Pre-registration is required.
