LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Ski Trip Male Participants 2016 - Camp Paivika
Adult campers between the ages of 18 and 99 with physical and/or developmental disabilities. 2 nights. Personal Care: Participants must be independent with their personal care needs. Individuals who require more than minor assistance with bathing, dressing, feeding and other personal care will not be accepted. Individuals requiring medical care other than the administration of medications will not be accepted. There will not be a nurse in attendance- medications will be managed by trained camp staff. Behavioral Challenges: Individuals with severe behavioral issues including acting out, inability to remain with the group, self-injurious/assaultive behaviors or aggressive tendencies will not be accepted. Campers will be assisted in ski activities and/or camping activities but must be interested and willing to participate in order to attend either of these programs. Staffing Ratios: Participants must be able to function safely in a group environment. Staff to camper ratios will be 1 to 5 during most times of the day. We’re debuting 5 mini-camp sessions designed specifically for the “older kiddos!” These camps focus on fun and skill building over 3 consecutive afternoons of concentrated creation – allowing time for larger projects and deeper investigation of themes hand picked from customer recommendations! These camps run from 1-4 in the afternoon and are designed for students in 5th grade and up. Early bird registration rates are $75 for 1 mini camp, $100 after May 15. August 2-4: FLOWER POWER – Power to the petals! During this camp you’ll be learning the basics of flower arranging and creating artworks inspired by flowers.

Skyhawks Multi-Sport Programs are tailored to your childs age and skill level while teaching life lessons such as respect and teamwork. Boys and girls age 7-12 years will learn the rules and essential skills of Soccer, Flag Football, and Baseball. Each participant will receive a soccer ball, T-Shirt, and a merit award and the end of the week. Participant-to-coach ratio is 12:1. They have the chance to visualize old and new themes that inform the viewer and surprised the artists. This is a very special class that promotes communications about self-realization through the visual arts, in a safe and supportive environment. This camp features an indoor tennis lesson, time to practice skating skills at the rink each day, nature walks, and more. We do a lot of walking and running around, so wear comfortable walking shoes! The Michigan Coed College Prep Camp includes two full days of instruction conducted in a low-pressure, safe, and fun environment on the University of Michigan campus. You will benefit greatly from this camp if you are interested in trying out as a college cheerleader anywhere across the nation and especially at the University of Michigan. Emphasis will be placed on individual instruction in coed partner stunting as well as tumbling, dance, strength and flexibility. We aim to ensure individualized attention and safety for each camper. It is the intent of the entire University of Michigan Cheer Team Staff to provide each camper with the best possible atmosphere in which to learn and sharpen their cheer skills. The techniques and skills that we will help you develop will give you a big head start over your competitors. An adventure trip of a lifetime. Our Northwoods Adventure Camp at Camp Bluewater is the ultimate outdoor camping experience. Campers will find the each bend of Bluewater Lake beautiful and inviting as they canoe and portage a chain of lakes within the Chippewa National Forest. Campers will gain confidence in their Outdoor Living Skills and deepen their relationship with nature. Friendships made on this trip are forever, and the memories youll make are to be treasured. Start the week at Tanadoona! Together campers will prepare meals and map out their journey with two certified Northwoods Specialists. Next, well hit the road and journey to Camp Bluewater just past Grand Rapids, MN.
