Fall Retreat: Seeing the Face of Christ in the Vulnerable - Dahlonega,
Sign up for the Campus Catholic Fall Retreat: Seeing the Face of Christ in the Vulnerable! Come out and spend a weekend in the mountains full of fellowship, fun and of course JESUS!! In this group please post your name, t-shirt size, and if you are able to provide transportation, and if so how many people you can drive. The retreat will be held at Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega, GA. Plan on meeting at Sacred Heart at 3:15 so we can get everyone situated in cars, but we plan on leaving at 3:30 from Sacred Heart in order to arrive at Hidden Lake around 6:30. Dinner will be provided Friday night, and all meals up until Sunday breakfast will be provided. The cost of the retreat is $20 for Georgia College students and $40 for non-Georgia College students, but if you are unable to pay just talk to Deacon and we will find a way for you to be able to go. Come to Gardner Camp for hands-on learning about wildlife and animals of all kinds. Nationally renowned World Bird Sanctuary will be at GC to present a live animal program where you will experience an up-close view of animals from all kingdoms. After learning about the different types of animals and the signs that animals leave behind, participants will test their investigation skills solving a mystery and go on a tracking adventure, weather permitting. Participants will also walk away with their very own handmade wildlife tracks t-shirt. Within this program, there is also a giveback opportunity to help World Bird Sanctuary. Join us as we take to the seas on this thrilling pirate adventure with the Jersey Shore Pirates. Children will be dressed up as a crew of swashbuckling buccaneers, search for hidden treasure, and defend their ship against enemy pirates. Kids will be transported from PS 87 to Jersey Shore Pirates by private school bus, departing at 9 a.m., and returning to PS 87 via school bus by 5 p.m. *In case of inclement weather, we will take the children to Jenkinsons Aquarium in Point Pleasant, New Jersey for a private tour.
