Lexington Family Magazine Summer Camps & Activities Fair - Lexington,
Visit booths representing camps, afterschool activities, birthday party venues, health care professionals, schools and more at our 14th Annual Fair. The Fair will be held at Lexington Christian Academy at 450 W. Reynolds Rd. just across the street from Meijer and behind Fayette Mall. We fill both of the gyms at the school. Each booth will have a fun activity for kids while Mom and Dad chat with the professionals. You'll find giant inflatables, face painting, costumed characters, games and giveaways. While you are there you can enter your kids in our Cover Model Contest. Professional photographer Lucy Chesnut, of Glitter and Sawdust Studios, will take photos of all their smiling faces and we'll use those pictures to choose winners who will appear on the covers of Lexington Family Magazine in the next year. We'll also have performances all day long from some of the most talented kids in the bluegrass including dancers, martial artists, gymnasts and more. Best of all? IT'S FREE! K9 Kid's Camp - San Angelo, TX
Children in Kindergarten-5th grade will learn pet ownership responsibilities, positive interaction, basic training techniques, and how to safely interact with puppies and dogs known to them and rules for animals unknown to them. Cost is $20 per camper each session. The K9 Kid's Camp will last 6 weeks and each camper will receive a certificate of completion and will earn Boot Camp points during training for other awards.

EV3 SPACE ROBOTICS, MINECRAFT & STOP MOTION ANIMATION - The Derryfield School
Explore the stars! The Star Wars universe will be our guide as we tackle the challenges and adventures of space exploration. Participants will learn how to build and program their own planetary exploration droid in order to find the Rebels a new planet to put their base. Build and program your droid to navigate unseen areas, collect and test samples, and even film its exploits! Participants will learn how to use sensors to help their droid maneuver through an unknown land, in order to collect and test samples and bring back information to the Rebels. Children will even be able to have their droid record its adventures using a smartphone. In the afternoon campers will learn about circuits and Redstone to build Rebel bases on hostile worlds filled with traps and defenses to protect them from the Empire. Later we will take on the role of the Empire and attack each others bases to test their defenses. Children will learn how to camouflage their base into its surroundings (using hidden doors and other techniques), as well as how to use Redstone to create traps and other defenses against the Empire.
