LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Summer Session - Athletic Development 2016 #3 - Killington Mountain School
Hello, We are very excited to announce the launch of the all-new KSC and KMS Summer Sessions. The Summer Sessions will be focused on athletic development, coaching our young athletes in multi-sport environments that will help develop athletic literacy and capacity in a fun-filled setting. Our Summer Sessions will be directed by Gar Trayner, Olympian, former World Cup coach and current Director of Athlete Development at Killington Mountain School. We have collaboration with iSport and Vermont Orthopaedic to supplement our sports-specific content and act as medical advisors and supporters. In addition to this we will have world class national team and collegiate athletes and coaches delivering our sessions to provide a cutting edge experience for young athletes. We are introducing a brand-new calendar of exciting sessions this summer with Athletic Conditioning Camps, Summer Action Sport Camps and Cyclocross, Road Biking and Mountain Bike Camps available. Athletic Conditioning Camps Athletic Conditioning Camps are for active kids, ages 10-18, from any sporting background. Our camps will use a multi-sport approach utilizing pioneering techniques and workouts that are both fun and effective. Spring Break Kid's Riding Camp! - Georgetown, TX
All kids up to age 18 welcome, no charge for current EquQuest horsemanship students; $250 for new students Camp dates are March 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18; 10 AM to 1 PM each day. Kid's learn to catch their own horse, tack it up, do ground work and ride (as age and confidence level appropriate). Get's them outside in sunshine and fresh air, helps them develop compassion for animals and puts them in touch with nature. Bring sunscreen, water and a snack. With this professional cartoonist, get into the funny business in a new direction at Coyote and learn how to make your joke and tell your story in one single frame! Snowy Daze - Old Trail School
Its snowing in June! Inspired by the movie Frozen, campers will explore all things snowy... summer style! Building a snowless snowman, taking a field trip to an ice cream shop, designing their own mittens, ice skating, creating snow dough, making snow cones, and more! Frozen songs, stories and games will have campers relive the magic of Elsa, Anna and Olaf and other friends from Arendelle! Fairy Tale Theatre - OCS Arts Center
Campers will be offered the chance to play their favorite character in a fairy tale mashup that promises lots of laughs and maybe a lesson or two. They will learn the basics of theatre performance while rehearsing a show that will be performed for family and friends on the last day of class. When campers are signed up, please tell us what character they would like to be and the teachers will write an original play incorporating all the chosen characters. Cutoff date for signups is July 13 (to complete script writing). YOUTH RUNNER ELITE MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMP If youre looking for a great experience that will give you a boost going into your Cross Country season this fall then the Youth Runner Elite Camp may be for you. Youre going to have fun, make new friendships, and maybe even meet your competitors. Youll also get some one on one advice from experienced coaches and athletes. Every day a Guest Olympian or an Elite Athlete will stop by to tell you their story and answer your questions. Youll leave with a plan and access to your camp coach through emails and phone calls until the end of cross country season. You can even bring your coach back home into the conversation. Whats Different? We love the camps with 200 runners sleeping in tents and getting crazy. Thats not this camp though. Youll be at Lewis and Clark College voted 2 nd nicest campus in the U.S. It has miles of running trails connected to the campus, a swimming pool, game room, and everything we need for camp.
