LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Tennis 3 - Brigham Young University
Join BYU mens tennis head coach Brad Pearce for a week of incredible tennis! Learn strategies, tactics and techniques through drills, on-court instruction and singles and doubles play. Players will receive instruction on the fundamentals of all major strokes and will practice these strokes through feeding, live-ball drilling and competitive match-play. Students will hone their skills as they have an opportunity to advance through each of five stations that are set up to practice every aspect of their game. They will also have an opportunity to improve their fitness and participate in competitive off-court games that focus on enhancing their flexibility through stretching, agility and endurance. In addition, they will play competitive matches in both singles and doubles. This is excellent preparation for anyone interested in participating in high school tennis or preparing to compete in USTA leagues and/or tournaments. On Friday of each week, all participants will play in an individual singles tournament against players that are at their level. Trophies are awarded for the winners and runner-ups, but all will play multiple matches. The camp concludes after the tournament on Friday with an awards ceremony. This Girl Scout Camp is nestled in nature’s paradise between meadows, woodlands and a beach area. My 11 year old daughter loves to participate in archery, swimming, kayaking, crafts, boating and hiking. She has developed a love for nature along with improved social skills. 2016 Teen Winter Camp - Oxford, AL
We'll be traveling from ODBC to Trinity Baptist Church in Oxford, Alabama, for our retreat, and we will spend a day snow tubing on Friday at Stone Mountain, Georgia! Come for great preaching and a fun time connecting with other teens and the Lord! Space is limited on the bus, so register early! Cost is only $75 which covers travel, lodging, and snow tubing (bring additional money for one meal each day while we are traveling). Parents/guardians must sign a hold harmless agreement and provide emergency contact/medical information.

This 3 night mini-session is a great introduction to Camp Kirby! Adventurers are entering 4th & 5th grades, and live in main camp cabin groups. Adventurers focus on fun in a lively environment. They camp out overnight in the Kirby woods, learn to canoe, try their hand at archery, and participate in sports, games, and arts and crafts. Boys Sports Camp with Coach Tom Myran - Germantown Friends School
The focus of Boys Sports Camp is on learning and competing in team sports, including basketball, soccer, baseball, flag football, floor hockey, and volleyball. In addition, campers also will take part in a variety of traditional games such as dodge and whiffle ball as well as individual sports such as tennis, wrestling, and track and field. Team-building, self-awareness and interpersonal skills will also be a focus. Our passionate and professional coaching team under the leadership of GFS Boys Varsity Track Coach Tom Myran will help participants become more skillful and confident athletes. Even more importantly, campers will have a terrific time making new friends and bonding with their upper school athlete-counselors whose job it is to reinforce the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and doing ones best on a daily basis.
