Embark on a new and fun learning adventure with Griffin Camps Enrichment Classes. Our offerings for this week: Session 1: Make it & Take it (9:00 AM- 12:00 PM) In this handson, fun, and exciting program, you will discover how amazing science is. You will make and take home a wide assortment of toys designed to teach you science concepts in a handson way. Bugs, Spiders, and Critters What is a bug? Whats the difference between a spider, and insect, or a millipede? Campers will learn about the differences between the various creepy crawlies in our own backyards! Session 2: Make it & Take it (continued) Refer to description in Session One. Creative Collaging This isnt just any old collaging class. Young artists will use a variety of different materials to make collages. Exploring concepts of depth, texture, color, and mosaic, this camp is bound to cover our week with adventure. Session 3: Our Mighty Oceans The oceans cover 70% of our planet! We will learn about these oceans and the animals that live inside them, even the ones in the darkest depths! Teens Camp (ages 13-18) If your teen is looking for a fun way to spend their summer, this is it! Students wil learn beginner photography with Mirroless cameras that wil be provided to them. Creative techniques will also be introduced to help enhance their skills and imaginations! Students are required to bring their own SD card to each class. Class Schedule: 10-10:30- In class demo 10:30-11- walk to location 11-12:30- shooting on location 12:30-1- lunch 1- 1:30- walk back to classroom 1:30- 2- Printing best shots of the day Monday: Students will be introduced to their cameras and photography basics. After the presentation we will walk to the Space needle to work on composition assignments. Back in class students will print their 3 best shots of the day. Tuesday: Today we will be going over aperture priority and depth of field. Class will head over to Lake Union. On the way back to class we will introduce bokeh and students will have the chance to try changing the shape of their bokeh in South Lake Union.
