Microwave Meals in a Mug 1st-4th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Shofner Make mine in a mug please! In this fun cooking class, we will be making a variety of "meals"; breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner in a mug! You will apply reading strategies to read the recipes, math and measuring skills to create the "meal" and then enjoy the fruit of your hard work! All students entering 1st grade through 4th grade are welcome! Come join in and lets make ours in a mug! 316-771-2289
Sportball Multi-Sport Camp by Sportball (Sportball.us) - Camelback Bible Church
Sportball camp is a fantastic experience! Four afternoons of engaging activities, participating in a variety of sports, designed to refine childrens gross motor skills and encourage the confidence and social skills necessary to participate in sports. The camp focuses on eight core sports: hockey, soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf, and football. It also includes arts and crafts, snack time, stories, music, cooperative games, water play and theme days. The camp is run indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather and is available in afternoon half-day sessions. In this session in the Makerspace we will combine two great activities - both provide the camper to express their creativity with tile and glass. Using broken tile pieces, the children will create and build a small mosaic tile table. Then with stained glass they will have a choice to make items such as boxes or sun catchers. This group class introduces your young actor to the craft of musical theater performance. Students will use acting exercises and imaginative games while learning songs to create a unique musical theater performance for the last day of class. This camp will focus on encouraging middle and early high school aged athletes to develop their basketball skills for all level players. Focusing on the fundamentals of ball handling, passing, shooting, agility, positional and competition to nurture the total athlete. Coach Soemer has been coaching youth sports for 21 years. During this time he has coached basketball and soccer at various levels. He has also taught physical education for the past 14 years.
