Photography Kids - Teen Day Camp - Bandy, VA
Photography kids - teen day camp. age 7 and up May 7 2016.The cost is $60.00 they get a cute bag and tee shirt, and lunch that day. They need a camera any kind it dont matter just as long as it takes photos. they get a small photo session that day also. We will be hiking and taking photos enjoying the day. The minni session you will receave up to 5 differnt poses with a cd to print them from and copyright. ( take a week to get the cd back) The Cost is $60.00 cash based or credit card with pay pal. Money has to be paid by April 16th 2016 if it rains we will rescheduel and if you cant make the rescheduel date we can do a photo session with the child that is signed up at a lator day. if you can not come for some reason their is no refunds you will receave the tee shirt and bag. you are responable for dropping kids off and pick up is no later than 2pm. Performing Arts Camp - Woodstock Town Hall Theatre
Sharon Groblicki will once again direct Pentangle Arts Summer Performing Arts Camp, with Nancy Boymer and musical direction by Bob Merrill. The theme this year is Children in Featured Broadway Roles, featuring songs and scenes from The Fantasticks, The Wizard of Oz and The Sound of Music. This years camp program teaches vocal technique and presentation, drama, improvisational theater, singing, and choreography. Classes are for children ages 8-13. Activities are indoors and outdoors. In addition, there will be some time allocated for swimming at the Woodstock Recreation Center– weather permitting – after lunch most days. Please note, if you child does not have a Rec Center swim pass, they will need $5 each day to cover the cost of using the pool. FOOD: Bring your own snack, lunch and water. DRESS: Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement; sneakers, ballet or jazz shoes; and a swimming suit 802-457-3981
Honors Pre-Calculus - Hopkins Campus
This course is open to Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB after completing Honors Geometry; Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and Honors Geometry and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB; Students from outside Blake who seek to complete the equivalent of a full-year Honors Pre-Calculus course during the summer. They must possess a strong foundation in algebra because the course contains advanced material and moves at a rapid pace; it is not recommended for remedial purposes. Before registering, Blake students must obtain their teachers permission to advance, as indicated by a signed Mathematics Acceleration Contract. Successful advancement requires a grade of B or higher on each of the comprehensive exams given during the summer course. This course emphasizes functions and their characteristics. Topics include: function notation and transformations; combinations and compositions of functions; linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions; and analytical trigonometry. In addition, sequences, series, parametric equations and limits are introduced in preparation for calculus.
