Teen Writing Camp for Girls - State College, PA
Join us as we write creatively about life as it really is through each of our individual lenses. We will play with poetry, prose and dialogue - working independently and in small groups and/or partners. We will explore the arboretum, campus and downtown locations for nature, art and culture inspired writing. Writers will navigate, explore and publish writings through avenues of social media (Instagram, Medium, Cow Bird). Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions. CentriKid is a high energy, intentional, gospel-centered overnight camp for 3rd-6th graders. Their mission is to help kids experience the time of their lives and learn more about the message of Jesus Christ. This takes place through track times, rec, worship, Bible study, church group time, and other fun events. CentriKid Camps are committed to providing content that is rooted in Scripture, a safe location, kid-friendly programming, and staffers who are deeply invested in your kids. July 31-Aug 4. Cost is $310 per person. Spaces are limited-Register using the payment envelopes at the church or click on the link on the EBC children’s ministry page. A $100 deposit will secure your spot.

Craft Fair & Flea Market- Benefits Youth Missions Camp & Leadership Re
Since the Dallas Harvest Festival has been cancelled, we have moved our annual Craft Fair fundraiser to that Saturday, (Sept. 19th) cause folks like YOU will be looking for something else to do. Additionally we will be expanding to include a Flea Market! Come shop at the Craft Fair for gifts, home decor, handcrafted jewelry, wood crafts, and more. This year's event includes a flea market, bake sale, and a chili cook-off. The Snackshop will be open with some delicious lunch & dinner specials including our famous APPLE DUMPLINGS!-Get 'em while they last! Proceeds will benefit students attending Student Life Camp and/or the Fall Leadership Retreat.

Week I - Brevard Distance Runners Camp
For all levels, ages 13-18. Instruction includes bio-mechanics, nutrition, goal setting and individualized training procedures. Small group discussions will cover goal setting, training and racing techniques, motivational techniques and supplemental training. Runs will vary according to individual fitness level. Morning workouts offer options of running, yoga, circuit training, aerobics, pilates, tai chi, and weights. Guest speakers will enlighten campers on a variety of interesting topics, including motivation, injuries, training schedules, and choosing college programs. Campers may also participate in an abundance of scheduled or free-time activities including volleyball, ultimate frisbee, basketball, dodge ball, and a talent show. A dance concludes the camp. Open to teams or individuals. Teams of seven or more can choose either week to attend team camp. Team camp is for teams of 7 or more runners. A coach MUST come with each team (at no charge) and they must bring transportation. The emphasis of this week is on team building activities, individualized team training runs (coaches choose mileage, intensity, and terrain), group challenge courses and recreational activities. Outside Exploits March 18 – April 29, 2015 (No Class 4/1 or 4/22) Climbing rocks, building sand castles, and erecting stick structures are some of kids favorite activities to do outside. This session of Science Explorers takes advantage of its location to experience the rich science behind kids play. We will certainly take advantage of the weather events to stomp in puddles (if it rains), draw shadows, and make kites. POTTERY ON THE WHEEL - Walker-MacKenzie Studio - Gertrude Herbert
Instructor: Twila Brock Beginning and advanced beginner students will have the opportunity to continue developing their skills in the various approaches to throwing functional ware on the wheel under the guidance of Twila Brock who specializes in this area. Instruction will be focused on basic techniques. Forms will be thrown, altered, and assembled to create various vessels. Projects will be tailored to the students skill level. Glazing techniques will also be addressed. Students must provide a clean towel each week.
