Be Helpful! Assist in making honey cake and mint tea. Discuss childrens work and play in the early 19th century, and then compare it to how we play today! Learn about kitchen gardens, heirloom plants, and honey beers. Attend a garden party and take on the role of friendly hostess! Diving Camp Session 4 - Aquatic Center
We will be offering diving class to ages 6 to 18 years of age. The only requirement is that you are able to swim 25-yards of the pool and tread water for 1 minute in water over their heads. Basic diving skills and safety will be taught from the side of the pool and on two 1 - meter boards. Each child will progress at their own rate, beginning with essential techniques, while working on strength, flexibility and mechanics. Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm Pick-up begins: 8:45am Drop-off ends: 4:15pm Girls will design and build furniture projects for the Womens Daytime Drop-In Center, a local safe haven which offers free services to homeless women and their children. Along the way, girls will learn skills in woodworking, welding, fabrication, and masonry to design a meaningful project for their community, to work in multiple materials, and bring ideas to life. Please note: Week 1 and 2 will offer the same content. Please enroll in only one. Snacks will be provided. Full lunch option is available at an additional $25 cost. Enrollment is limited to 20 girls.
