Loving Care "Kids for Kids" Campaign 5K &1 Mile Fun Run - Ottawa, OH
Come join the fun! It's a great way to be part of teaching children the importance of helping others while getting some exercise! This year’s event will be focused on helping others. Barrett Lammers, a preschool student here at Loving Care, was born with polycystic kidney disease. He had been doing well managing with this until a few months ago when an abnormal growth was found between his liver and pancreas called a choledochal cyst. This required him to have an extensive surgery and rehabilitation this spring. His prognosis is positive, however, he will need to have continued close monitoring throughout his entire life. We are planning a 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run and Diaper Dash with all proceeds from this event being donated to Barrett’s family to assist with medical expenses.
SummerFest Camp Hunt Youth Rally 2016 - Hubbardsville, NY
Get the full Camp Hunt experience in one day, at the SummerFest Youth Rally at Camp Hunt, July 16th! We'll have performances by singing groups and other specialty acts. Advanced Libero Camp - Rice University Tudor Fieldhouse
The Advanced Libero Camp is designed for defensive specialists and liberos that have some experience and are looking to take their game to a higher level. Campers will work on the specifics of becoming a more advanced and consistent defender and serve receive passer, and will run drills designed to set them apart from their fellow competitors. Skills covered will include: Serve Receive footwork, platform angles, recovery moves, overhead digging and passing, setting the second ball, coverage, and having an all-out competitive attitude! 713-348-4795
Trekking for the Health of it - Old Trail School
Join Mrs. Wilson for a 3-5 mile intense hike in the beautiful CVNP. Be ready for strenuous trails by wearing sturdy hiking shoes or boots and carrying a water bottle. Eat a good breakfast for energy and stamina. We will be on the bus promptly at 9am to be able to get back to school in time for lunch. Bring rain gear and be ready for some serious hiking fun. Ages 9 and above unless Mrs. Wilson gives written permission to a younger child who is capable of these hikes. Instructor: Holly Wilson, BS, Old Trail School Grade 4 teacher and former national park volunteer *Optional Backpacking Adventure Add-on to Trekking Camp After a week of trekking, some students might want to do a little backpacking trip. Students can meet at Brandywine Falls Friday at 5pm and hike 4 miles to Stanford Youth Hostel for an overnight campout. Pick up at Stanford Youth Hostel at 10:00 am on Saturday morning. Camping cookout dinner and breakfast will be provided. Students bring and carry their own backpack, sleeping bag, camping mat to sleep on, dishes, utensils, and clothes. Hitting/Base-Running Camp Team Registration - Pine Bluff, AR (Taylor Field)
PRO-DAY Baseball Hitting/Base-Running Camp will be held on Saturday, February 20th at Historical Taylor Field. The Camp will be held from 9 am - 12 noon for ages 8-15 years of age. Incase of inclement weather, the clinic will be moved into the Indoor Facility at the Stadium. Participants will get to hear instruction on proper hitting techniques and to help improve ones swing from a staff that has been involved in professional baseball on all levels. Since 1989, PRO-DAY Baseball has been teaching young players the finer points of the game, have sent hundreds of players into professional baseball, along with hundreds and hundreds of others have went on to receive baseball scholarships to colleges/universities across the country. Players need to register in advance, the camp is "Limited". Proceeds will benefit the John Gross Memorial Scholarship, which is given to a high school senior each year that plans to go off to college to play baseball and continue their education. 888-224-6150

They find a loving, non-competitive program where they can experience being at camp in a nurturing environment. Sensei Kirk Farber incorporates building self-esteem and character education within every class session. Each session emphasizes the principles and concepts to enhance the individuals fitness skills while speaking on character traits. Camp will include the FACE class, outside activities, and agility/coordination training. Each week will have a different theme. Prizes will be earned at the end of each week.
