ACORN CAMPS IS A DAY CAMP FOR GIRLS AND BOYS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 4 AND 15. ​​ The focus of Acorn Camps is making sure children have the time of their lives. Acorn Camps is a much needed break from the academic year where creativity, adventure, thrills, smiles and plain old good times are the priority. Acorn Camps activities provide children with the opportunities and experiences to develop the necessary skills to face challenges, build character, foster independence , and to try new things in a fun and safe environment.A variety of programs offered: boating, group games, arts and crafts, adventure programming, primitive skill programs, science, legos, group challenge activities and initiatives, zip line, giant swing, gaga ball, and camp songs. 3D Printing and Stop-Motion Animation (24405A) - Cary Academy
Be your own stop-motion animator and director. Learn the ins and outs of stop-motion animation, filming, and 3D printing technology. Work as a team to choose your characters, write your script, build your set with the help of 3D printing technology, and film your movie. Youth Summer Camp will consist of Lectures on Hitting, Infield Play, Outfield Play, Bunting, and Baserunning. Pitching & Catching will be covered in the afternoon sessions only. Campers will get to experience Extended Bag games at the end of each session against kids in their age range and will compte in the Roadrunner Olympics on the final morning of camp. Our advanced camps are aimed towards players aged 10 and above who have playing experience. This camp is all about improving your technical ability and knowledge of the game. A big part of this camp is working on positioning, decision making, applying skills in the right times and allowing players to learn through playing the game.
