Finish your summer with a cheer. Join us in the last week of the summer at Whetstone Community Center for cheer and tumbling fun. Campers will learn the basics of stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, and dance. Our instructors will work with girls and boys ages 6-14 at all skill levels to help them reach their goals in a safe and fun environment. They will also participate in art activities focused toward cheerleading. On Friday afternoon, campers will showcase their cheer skills in a team performance for friends and family members. *Campers are required to bring an extra pair of clean tennis shoes. This camp will introduce your child to basic yoga poses and breathing exercises through story, songs and games. Each class will also include a creative activity that reinforces our yoga practice. Campers will spend the week making delicious desserts and mouth-watering main courses. Through daily hands-on cooking, campers will learn creative ways to cook some of their favorite dishes. Campers will learn how to make healthy cooking choices, read food labels, write recipes, measure cooking ingredients, determine proper portion sizes, and more! Please bring a light snack, or a lunch if your child is enrolled in camps all day. A $20 material fee will be collected on the first day of camp.
