Things are coming into place fast for Bethel's Student ministry, Beta Sigma, to have our very own summer camp, designed specificaly by and for Bethel students and their friends. Many exciting details are still falling into place, but some very important ones are already set: - Our worship band for the whole week is The Hardcastles, our camp worship band for the last two years at Camp Eagle. - Our speaker is former hockey player, youth evangelist and long time youth pastor, Shawn Roberts, who has spoken to thousands upon thousand of students and seen thousands come to know Christ. - Activities we know we'll have: river tubing, swimming, gaga ball, ulimate, football, hiking, square dancing, bow and arrow tag, airsoft, bonfires, small group talks, team challenges, camp challenges... - Best of all, we'll be serivng the community and the camp throughout the week doing service project. - So many more things to come, shirts, journals, themed meals and more...we'll keep you updated as things move. This will not be a camp you or your friends want to miss. Early registration starts in January for Middle School and in Febuary for High School...

It seems every year there is one statement we hear time and time again from campers, “I don’t feel like I have the relationship with God I should, or could have.” Our relationship with God is constantly maturing, and we can all say we could have a stronger, healthier relationship with God. This is why our theme for Hensel 2016 is centered around providing our kids with the tools to have a healthy relationship with our God. The year’s theme is taken from Proverbs 3:1-10 and is simply “Committed: Becoming Children of God” , first serve and will open midnight on April 2

Ever wonder why a pedestrian is someone who travels by foot but a pediatrician is a childrens doctor? Knowing that pedestrian is from the Latin word pedes (foot) and pediatrician is from the Greek word pedia (child) will help you not only keep these common words straight, but also decipher more obscure words derived from the same roots. 65 percent of English comes from Greek and Latin. A solid foundation in the Greek and Latin roots of English provides skills to decode a word, often without looking it up. Not curious yet? Did you know that the prefix dis is from Latin meaning apart or away from, while the prefix dys is from Greek meaning bad? The prefix ante is Latin for before; anti is Greek for against. This class will provide you with the tools needed to boost your English vocabulary, avoid many common errors and raise your scores on the English and Reading portions of the SAT and ACT exams. Many of the class activities parallel typical questions on the exams, allowing for immediate application of these invaluable skills. Join us as we take art to the Natural History Museum of Utah. We will meet on location and will set-up our drawing boards to sketch dinosaurs, gems, geology, and much more. We will use several mediums including: pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, markers, and ink. This is a great time to learn new art techniques and learn about Utahs ancient history.
