4v4 Tournament and Skills clinic - Greenwood Field
This camp will offer a skills clinic before breaking into teams and playing a 4v4 festival. The skills clinic will focus on individual technical skills on the ball to develop confidence while dribbling and escaping pressure from opponents. Games will be on a smaller field to help enhance decisions, speed of play and technical abilities under pressure. By condensing the space players are guaranteed to touch the ball more and learn to become better support players for their teammates. MYNA (High School Boys & Girls) - MCM Youth
The best amongst you is the one who learns Quran and teaches it. Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him. MYGB will continue to offer its Quran program with the hope that this program will help our youth bond with the Quran through this experience Inshallah. By the end of each session of MYGB Quran program participants will have developed: *- greater appreciation of the words of Allah; *- better ability to read and recite the Quran; *- better understanding of some of the basic concepts addressed by the verses repeated in the short chapters. The program will also have a memorization component based on the youths abilities and readiness for memorization. All teachers and volunteers have tremendous experience working with youth in this particular field. Groups will be divided by age and then by competency level. SciTech Explorers-Thursdays, 2:15pm, Temple Emanu-El - Emanu-El
Preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, discover and explore natural phenomena through observations, experimentation, storytelling, and creative play. While engaging in an activity, they are invited to observe, predict and interpret their findings. Great Outdoors - EcoAdventures
Great Outdoors June 27th-July 1st 9am – 4pm (Ages 5 – 11) Monday – Friday Its back to nature in this camp and we mean literally! If it has to do with nature and the great outdoors we are all over it! These days kids seem to be losing touch with nature, so in this camp we are going to bring them back to the wild side. Kids will leave civilization behind as we head out into the great unknown to learn all about nature and surviving the outdoors. Campers will get the ins and outs of navigating trails, compass use, telling time by the sun, identify animal tracks, interact daily with animals, make fossils, build a drift shelter, survival skills, make Native American crafts, outdoor cooking (more than just smores) and so much more. By the end of camp you might not get your kid to come back into the house! Pint sized survivalist fun is on order for this camp on the Wild Side! Girls in STEM April: Maximizing Momentum - Keystone Science School Campus
At Keystone Science School, STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) is an integral part of every experience. The Girls in STEM program dives even deeper by exploring not only the STEM concepts in an empowering girls-only environment, but also highlighting real women currently working in STEM careers. This program builds leadership and collaboration between the girls involved as they engage in fun, hands-on activities that impart new skills and confidence in science, tech, engineering, and math - areas in which girls are inclined to be wallflowers. A key element of the program is a teaching technique called positive growth feedback in which "failure" is viewed as a necessary and even welcome step on the path to success. Research has shown that girls are especially receptive to this teaching technique and the scientific method is the ideal process for applying this technique to valuable learning.
