Tween/teen Yoga Camp - Camp Hill, PA
The focus for this program is to inspire and empower tweens and teens and to establish a deeper sense of self respect and self discipline so they can live a more balanced and fulfilled life. We will empower tweens/teens through journaling, breathing practices, meditation, aerial yoga and mat yoga. We'll have fun and learn to trust others and ourselves through partner yoga poses. Though drop in students are welcome, we encourage participants to enroll in the the entire four week program because each week we will build upon the lessons of the previous week. Camp runs 5-6:15pm on Tuesday, July 19 and 26th, August 9 and 16. Please note there is a break the week of August 2. A minimum of 4 students is required to run the program, so please register early! A refund will be given if the minimum number of participants is not met. There will be a maximum of 8 participants, based on the number of aerial yoga hammocks, so pre-registration is required. Monday - Friday 9am-12:30pm: PIRATE (hosted by Missoula Fencing Association) Monday - Friday 12:30pm- 4:00pm: CIRCUS (hosted by Moksha Aerial Studio) PIRATE: Come express your inner pirate! We get our youngest fencers started learning fencing basics with lots of fun and games in this week long camp. This program integrates LEGO® with scientific and mathematical principles in a FUN and EXCITING way! Teaching is conducted using customized LEGO® kits with motors, gears and batteries. The programs utilize an Edutainment (Education + Entertainment) approach, transforming the learning process into a game while introducing children to theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Afternoon Newcomer Camp - Stanford University
The philosophy of the Newcomer Golf Camp is to introduce the game of golf to juniors aged between 5 and 12 with either no experience or a couple of years of instruction. Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game in a safe, fun and stimulating environment. Instruction will be given at a pace intended to maintain the attention of campers and at the same time be appropriate for each individuals skill level. Active and energetic instructors will lead the youngsters through a series of games and exercises that will develop confidence and passion for the game. Projects will include some major clean-up work, such as clearing brush and building fire lines, fix-up jobs, wood cutting, simple construction and other needed repairs or improvements to camp facilities and grounds.
