The Junior Camp is open to children who will be entering kindergarten and will be 5 by September 1st or entering 1st grade as of September. The Camp program includes recreational activities, organized games, arts and crafts, music, special events, and tennis and swim lessons. A large tent on the lawn will serve as the Camp headquarters. Grab your Tents and sleeping bags. This fun filled week is all about camping in Colorado. Learning about the different animals we will come across in our beautiful state as well as creating crafts that our essential for the outdoors. A trip to Lookout Mountain will get us even more educated in the camping world around us. We will have a campfire and sing songs. Camp Collegiate Session 2 3rd-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Hawley Session 2: Machine Building Camp. Camp Collegiate is a fast-paced, fun-based learning experience that is meant to make summer days fly by with fun activities. Boys and girls in third through eighth grade spend their days with friends and counselors doing all of the typical camp things: swimming, cooking out on a camp fire, canoe trips, arts and crafts, having treats, horseback riding, games … and a lot of not-so-traditional things: feeding and caring for snakes and hamsters; studying ecosystems and astronomy; competing in science challenges; building woodworking and electronics projects. Fun off-campus trips will include canoeing down the Fall River, visiting the Oklahoma salt flats, going to Laser Quest, the Alley, Ice Skating, Tanganyika, the Sedgwick Co. Zoo, and All-Star Adventures. Kids often say that great memories are made in this camp and its one of the best parts of their summer! Each day at camp begins at 9:00 AM with a game of Capture the Flag and ends at 3:00 PM with a fun closing activity where the Happy Camper for the day is announced.
