ASAP: Stop Motion - Germantown Academy
Create visual magic using an animation technique that is over 100 years old and continues to be used today in recent movies like Paranorman (2012) and Boxtrolls (2014). Animate objects, clay, and people by stringing together still images to create an illusion of movement using the Stop Motion Studio app. Students will need an email address in order to create a Dropbox account for Stop Motion Studio. iPads will be provided. In this hands-on class, campers will use the LEGO system to create simple machines. They will learn about levers, pulleys, axels, wheels, and gears through activates designed to challenge the young engineer.
