Folsom Teen Bible Boot Camp 2016 - Folsom, CA
The church of Christ in Folsom, California will be hosting a free Bible study for teenagers and college students during the weekend of April 15-17, 2016. We usually hold this annual Bible study on the third weekend in April (except when Easter falls on that weekend, and then another April weekend is selected). During this weekend, participants will attend a Friday night singing and a Bible study on Saturday morning and afternoon. The age group for visitors at this event is current high school students (9th to 12th grades) and college-aged young people. Participants are encouraged to come Friday night and stay through Sunday morning services at the Folsom church of Christ. Members of the church are willing to open their homes on Friday and Saturday for lodging, and overnight arrangements will be organized by grade level and gender. If you would like to attend, please complete the online registration form by Saturday, April 9th at: http://folsom.cierecloud.com/forum/about/ or on the Folsom congregation’s website. Teen Week Overnight Camp - Fort Worth, TX
At YMCA Camp Carter Overrnight Camp, campers live, play and build deep bonds with their peers. Campers must rely on the others in their cabin groups to share daily responsibilities. Each cabin is led by a senior counselor with overnight camp experience and each unit is led by an upper class college student studying education, recreation or another appropriate field of study. Campers will spend time with their cabin group, making new friends, exploring the property and participating in all kinds of fun activities like climbing the 60′ climbing wall or hiking to see Old Man Tucker’s truck. Cabin groups will come together as units during the week and participate in camp fires, cookouts and group competitions and games. Everyone in camp will meet for meals, messages and devotions and to sing camp songs at the top of their lungs. YMCA Camp Carter Overnight Camp runs from Sunday afternoon until Friday evening and includes 15 meals and overnight accommodations in a fully climate controlled cabins with lots of supervision by our well trained staff.

Natural History - Week 2 - Natural History
Can you tell a bird from its call? Identify a mammal from its prints in the mud? Ever wonder where flying squirrels live? How to catch a snake or a bullfrog? Come join us as we adventure through creeks, marshes, forests, and the many natural places of beauty we have to explore on The Heights campus and all around the metropolitan area. The various ingredients of this camp make for a fantastic summer experience. From the personal attention and fun atmosphere of learning, to the outdoor adventures and games, this is an experience hard to beat or imitate. Activities: short classes, nature walks, daily journal, creek exploration, games, field and fishing trips, and specimen collection. Session I will focus on mammals, reptiles, and birds. Session II will focus on insects and trees. Staff Anton Vorozhko teaches 6th grade homeroom in the middle school. Join us in a fun and educationally stimulating day learning about elections. Students will design colorful handmade campaign buttons, set up voting stations, play fun election games, and experience creative hands on art activities. Students will prepare a tasty mid-morning snack and participate in choice games, and indoor and outdoor activities. Weather permitting we will enjoy a walk to Taney park for recess. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch. This class gives students a real opportunity, as artists to explore the topic of identity and Family. The results have been creative and exciting. Students explore topics like family, friends, personal exploration, ethnic and racial origins and many others. They have the chance to visualize old and new themes that inform the viewer and surprised the artists. This is a very special class that promotes communications about self-realization through the visual arts, in a safe and supportive environment.
