2016 - Camp 4 Kids CIT Try-Outs - Orange, CA
The heartbeat of Camp4Kids is our volunteer staff. After all, without a great staff, who would bring the magic of summer camp to the kids and teens who need it most? Great Counselors aren't just born, they're carefully trained! Our Counselor-in-Training program (CIT for short) is the venue through which we teach teens the skills and expertise necessary to care for campers. CITs must be a minimum of 16-years-old at the time of camp. Though previous camp experience is not required, it certainly helps. After extensive training "down the hill" (outside of camp), CITs are paired with Senior Counselors while in camp, receiving first hand experience and one-on-one training, learning what it takes to be an effective leader while in a supervised and controlled environment. Being a great Counselor comes from years of training as a CIT. Come down and try out! RSVP through private message.

Join Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center for a day of crafting on the day off from school on November 11th. Kids ages 5-12 will enjoy weaving with natural and recycled materials, and felting with naturally dyed alpaca fleece. Featuring special guest Phylleri Ball of Three Sisters Weaving. Kids will love spending this beautiful Fall day in the mountains of Nederland, outside of Boulder and Denver. Instructor: Freed Is your child struggling to learn how to print? Are they reluctant to complete written work? Whether your child is struggling or not, learning to print is a very complex skill. This class will provide all of the foundational skills necessary to be able to learn to print effectively and efficiently all while having FUN! Kristin Freed, Licensed Occupational Therapist will assess your students use of a writing tool and then provide a multitude of activities to improve their grasp, general stability, tactile discrimination, visual-motor coordination, and visual-perceptual skills for more successful writing tool use. 6 weeks, June 14,21,28 & July 12,19,26 316-771-2289

In this camp our JK/Kindergarteners will explore all things paint. Mixing in a little bit of science (how paint is made), a bunch of exploration, and a lot of creativity, well have a paint filled week with all things arts and crafts. Well spend some time having fun with color combinations, find out what the color wheel is, utilize all kinds of tools for cool paint techniques, and learn how we can mix our own colors to create unique paint colors for our works of art! In true Mulberry tradition, well draw inspiration from all around our beautiful campus, so expect your child to spend plenty of time outdoors as well as inside.
