LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Camp Colley - 3 Nights - Town of Fountain Hills
CAMP COLLEY OVERNIGHT YOUTH CAMPS Overnight Youth Camps are designed to teach riding skills, horse care, and outdoor recreational skills. Life skills such as responsibility, empathy, and communication are emphasized in each activity. Campers ride a minimum of two hours per day in a series of riding lessons, games, and trail rides. Camp Colley partners with Hunkapi Horse Programs to provide overnight camps. This unique partnership will give campers additional opportunities at camp including, but not limited to, hiking, nature education, mountain biking, archery, and arts and crafts. Campers depart from the Kiwanis Ramada near the Splash Pad at Fountain Park at 8:30 AM on Monday and return at 4:00 PM on Wed. Camp Activities Include: Daily teambuilding and self -development exercises Field trips to the local fire tower, swimming, hiking, arts and crafts and much more! Advanced horsemanship skill classes including trail riding. Detailed itinerary will be made available upon registration. Camp S.W.A.G. (Students With Ambitions & Goals) is hosting a Teen Talent Show Fundraiser on January 29th, 2016 with a TENTATIVE location of Panther Creek High School in Cary, NC. Make a Joyful Noise for 3-5yrs - The Music Village

Following John Feierabends curriculum of First Steps in Music, we will be singing, acting, dancing and creating music. We are literally creating a full-immersion musical experience that can be the ground work for further musical studies, both vocal and instrumental! We will be using dance to both express music and understand lyrics; we will explore both folk and classical music pieces. Additional experiences include acting with puppets & costumes; expressive dance with hand-dyed silk scarves and ribbon sticks; and beginning instrumental play on drums and pitched instruments (xylophones, glockenspiels, ukuleles where appropriate). Shakespeare in Performance - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This class is designed for 5th-9th grade students. Why Shakespeare? Why not! The stories are compelling and exciting. The characters thrilling and interesting. In the play well be working on this winter, they are also very comical! A Midsummer Nights Dream may be 450 years old, but its as funny today as when it was first performed in 1605. Under the guidance of Heather Sanderson, participants will present an abridged version of the play for a main stage presentation at the Annual LTA Showcase (April 1st & 2nd). During the course of the session, youngsters will learn acting methods naturally through a variety of theatre games, improvisation exercises and practical performance. INSTRUCTOR HEATHER SANDERSON studied classical theatre at RADA in London and prior to moving to Alexandria acted extensively in the San Francisco Bay Area. As "Miss Heather", she is known locally for instilling a love of theatre - in particular Shakespeare - into the hearts of children. Longhorns Tennis Camp - Longhorns Tennis Camp
The Longhorns Tennis Camp will be conducted on The University of Texas campus in Austin by carefully selected instructors who are experienced at working with young players. These instructors include college coaches, high school coaches and collegiate players. Longhorns Tennis Camp is open to girls and boys, ages 9 and above, of all ability levels. Campers will be housed in Castillian, a privately owned highrise dormitory near campus. Each room has a private bath and refrigerator. Experienced, mature male and female staff provide 24-hour supervision. All employees have passed a criminal background check as well as a child protection training conducted by The University of Texas Human Resources Department.
