2 Weeks of Aikido Camp. Monday through Friday Camp Hours: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Early drop (starting from 7:30am) off & late pick up (up to 6pm) up also available. We start at the dojo in the morning with formal Aikido classes. Then we clean up, eat lunch, and weather permitting, change into beach wear and head to the beach for lots of Aikido-related games and races, like sumo wrestling and bokto watermelon-cutting. Once Upon a Time July 11-15 - Summit School
"Once Upon A Time..." A camp to promote literacy and encourage imagination Rising 1 and 2 July 11-15 Kim Fansler In this camp reading, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, art, cooking and drama will all be taught using various versions of classic fairy tales. We will give the children the opportunity to build the houses the three little pigs built. They will make the gingerbread houses that Hansel and Gretel found in the woods. They will plant the magic beans that Jack used to grow the magical beanstalk. They will dress up as characters and act out favorite scenes. They will get to paint and decorate enchanted castles. Spring Break Techsplosion Camp MINECRAFT CHALLENGE - Dairy Knoll
Techsplosion is a hands-on STEM enrichment program in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2010, our passionate instructors have served over 1,500 students at over 50 bay area locations. We balance computer time with fun outdoor activities and themed games. Our Minecraft and Video Game Design camps are the most computer intensive but in all full-day programs we schedule approximately 2 hours of outdoor time per day. In addition to that, we have many non-computer activities, particularly in the camps for younger age groups like Junior Minecrafters and Minecraft Challenge. We want to inspire your kids to lead balanced and passionate lives, not turn them into potatoes. Challenge (ages 8-12): This program is designed for those that have already taken the Junior level program or are already familiar with the Minecraft game. Challenge emphasizes fun, creativity, and problem solving skills as motivation for campers to lean about video game design, video production and basic programming skills. This workshop will teach your children appropriate methods by which they can explore creative writing in academic and non-academic settings. Most importantly, it will remind them to value and nurture their imaginations. Activities will include journaling, community creativity circles, character creation, short story drafting, and more. Mr. Chuck Wagner earned his MA in English from the University of Kansas and his MFA from Indiana University.
