Students will learn how to create images of themselves while making self-portraits. They will practice close observation with mirrors as well as correct use of proportion, shading, and tone. Projects include realistic self-portraits in which students will attempt to achieve likeness and ab- stract portraits inspired by modern artists. Sumner Teen Center extends our hours to 7:30am-6pm for TWO DAYS ONLY for this special VBS inspired camp. There will be lots and lots of group games indoors and out. We will have planned crafts, as well as music and discussion times. Please bring a sack lunch. We will have snacks and water. Pre-register at ticket link on this event. STRIDE - Germantown Academy
STRIDE is a fun after-school running and character-building program for boys in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Throughout the program, the focus is on doing ones personal best, not competing with each other. STRIDE meets twice a week for a total of 10 weeks. The practices are held after school and last for 75 minutes. Each session includes a lesson/discussion, a game/activity, and a running workout with trained coaches. At the end of 10 weeks, the boys will run in a 5K with more than 1000 other area youth. 267-405-7520

Our goals are to improve your skills, teach cutting edge techniques and advance your understanding of game concepts and team play. Campers are grouped according to age and ability levels with a great staff who keep the game fun and who are committed to helping each camper reach a new level of play.
