Sam Michaels Day Camp - Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Commission
Spend your summer vacation with us! Sam Michaels Day Camp offers 1 field trip per week, water day of Friday w/ inflatable water slide and weekly themed crafts and activities. T-shirt is included in camp price. Camp hours are 7:30am-5:30pm. Cost for camp is $125 per week (4th of July week is $100).Full payment is due at time of registration. Parent or guardian MUST complete a camp registration form as well a health form for each child they are registering. STATE LICENSING DISCLAIMER: Due to state law regulations we are required to limit the number of days a child is allowed to attend summer day camps, or any camp lasting more than 6 hours. Children may only attend these camps for 30 days during the summer (consecutive or non-consecutive). ADDITIONAL CAMP INFORMATION: Lunch: Campers will need to bring their own lunch and beverage to camp every day. Refrigeration is not available. Small coolers or ice packs are recommended. Camps - Discovery Camp - Recreation Center at Michelle Obma School of Techn
Participants in Discovery Camp will engage in sports, art classes, swimming lessons, open swim, movie day and weekly field trips. There will be plenty of fun had by all. Participants provide their own sack lunch, swimsuit, towel, movie concession money. Snacks, swim instruction, open swim, all classes, movie admission and field trips are included. No camp July 4. Payment Plan Terms: A $100 deposit per camper and a $10 payment plan processing fee must be paid in full at registration. Extreme Robotics - Middle School
In Extreme Robotics, students have extreme fun while exploring the world of technology. Using all sorts of household items, including electrical motors and gadgets, they get to build their own robots. Using applied science and engineering, students learn to solve problems while exploring various scientific principles, from biomechanics to hydraulics to magnetism and chemistry. Finally, the student made robots are put to the ultimate test in fun competitions, with prizes being awarded for the most innovative and best functioning inventions, robots, and designs.
