Qualified staff, experienced horses and a rodeo and roping arena will be the setting for this camp. The atmosphere will encourage campers to advance their riding skills, expand their horsemanship knowledge and enjoy riding. All campers will get to try their hand at rodeo and roping events. Instruction will be provided and all level of riders will be accommodated. Math and science concepts will be integrated into all skill development for campers. Everyone will ride and learn horse and ranch routines. This is an overnight camp. Chuck wagon/Campfire cooking will occur, (weather permitting). Bring a sleeping bag, overnight bag, long pants, sturdy shoes or boots, sunscreen and a jacket. Riding Helmets will be provided. Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his Friend -Proverbs 27:17 When Cleyton (his older Brother) and Clinton were growing up, that was the scripture I gave them because they were always so competitive with each other. It took it from being just a competition and one beating the other one, to the two of them helping to improve each other.”- Clinton’s mother Bonnie McDonald. Clinton is very strong in his faith and takes an active role in community service. This year will mark the 4th Annual year for Clinton’s "Iron Sharpen Iron" Youth Football & Cheer camp. World Cooking - The Evergreen School
Students will be learning how to make simple dishes from several different cultures. Their kitchen experiences will be supplemented by fun activities highlighting the region the food comes from. Individual Week / Add on Registration Here (2016 AKA SOP SCHEDULE BELOW) AKASPORTs Speed of Play: Leadership through Fitness Program, is led by AKA Director, Chris Schulz and the AKA professional training Staff. Participants enrolled in the AKA Speed of Play (SOP program), in partnership with the AKA All Sports Camp (ages 6-12), will offer adolescents an opportunity to be active, train and play in an All Sports setting geared to teach them leadership qualities with personal mentorship opportunities. The base of the Speed of Play program is from 9:00am-4:00pm and the doors are open for all Speed of Play participants from 7:00am-6:00pm, the same hours of the AKA All Sports Camp so you can take advantage of supervised activity time the entire day. Spend two nights in the field using more advanced tools and techniques such as transect investigation, field guides and star charts.
