Theme: Fairy Tale Adventures Silly characters take to the stage! Through improvisation, special guest artist workshops, art projects, theatre games and rehearsals, campers will learn the basics of acting. Along the way they will discover new ways of collaborating with peers and the joy of performing. Past workshops have included stage make-up, choreography, singing, yoga, and swordplay! Teen Director's Camp - New Bern, NC
Info and application posted under Children's Programs on Rivertowne's Website! www.rivertowneplayers.org This week long camp will meet every afternoon. We will work with local directors to learn technique, stage blocking and tableaus, the audition process, vetting and preparing a show, ect. Guest directors will visit with us to tell us about their personal techniques. There are VERY limited spots. An application will be available for the first two weeks of June. This is FREE OF CHARGE! We do hope to host a teen show this spring, and the production team will come from this camp.

We will be going up to hume lake to enjoy this world God has given us. We can have 18 people go and take up to 6 vehicles.

Kids Camp Fundraiser Lunch - Burlington, KS
LWC will be serving chili, chicken & noodles, and baked potatoes at the museum's annual Kansas Day celebration. Various desserts will also be served. Proceeds will go towards sending students in grades 3-5 to camp this summer. LWC expects to send over 20 kids to camp this year. ACADEMIC - INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS - Notre Dame Academy
This course will teach students the basics of the history of robotics, along with key components of robots and how they developed over time. Following completion of short web research work, students will work in teams to learn to build robots, to program them and to use various sensors to make them "smart." As students progress, using Lego Mindstorm EV3 kits, they will learn to create more "sophisticated" robots that can do things the simpler ones cannot. Students will be graded on their knowledge of robot history and their components, as well as on their ability to complete specific exercises with the robots. This "hands-on "course is not only fun, but is a great learning experience! STUDENTS MAY ACCRUE NO MORE THAN TWO, (2), ABSENCES IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR THIS COURSE. ***CREDIT IS GUARANTEED FOR NDA STUDENTS ONLY. Creative Dramatics - KidsOnStage - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
NO CLASS ON FEBRUARY 13. This class is designed for 3rd-5th grade students. Using their natural abilities and imaginations, students will learn how to create their stage characters through theatre games, teamwork, problem solving; and, at the same time develop students confidence. Class includes an introduction to onstage and backstage needs for a show. A final production, April 1-2, will be presented on the main stage. INSTRUCTOR KATHY DILLABER is a JMU graduate, B.A. Communication Arts & Educational Certification, plus graduate studies. Post college, she performed at Tecumseh, Ohio; ‘Land of Oz, N. C.; Busch Gardens, Williamsburg; and local theatres. Since 2013, she participates annually in the Broadway Teachers Workshop, NYC, working with Broadways top artists onstage and backstage. Workshops explored the theatre craft as it pertains to school and community productions. Other experiences include a techie backstage and a theatre instructor where she has directed numerous childrens productions. Boys do write! This camp gives boys time to write and something to write about. During the week well visit a historic site, hike along a creek, play kickball, have races on a real race course and other exciting adventures, followed by crafting stories about our experiences.
