Youth Outdoor Adventure Day - Seattle, WA
Shake off winter and visit Camp Long for a day of fun outdoor experiences! Camp Long is celebrating its 75th birthday, and what better way to celebrate than to put the camp though its paces. Youth Outdoor Adventure Day will be a free day of fun activities open to the public, for boys and girls aged 10-20. Planned activities include: archery, high-wire challenge course, rock climbing, rifle shooting, dutch oven cooking, orienteering, fire building, tomahawk throwing, geocaching, robotics, and s'more!

Our kid's summer sew camp includes three fun-filled days of crafting and project making while learning a valuable skill! Sew camp is ideal for children ages 7 and up who haven’t sewn before or are still beginning, or those who want to learn more. Each day will bring a new project! We will be running two camps for three consecutive days frp, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Camp will include a snack (children with special dietary restrictions or preferences are encouraged to bring their own) and all materials. Past projects include making pajama sets, totes, lunch bags and more! Session 1: June 21st - 23rd Session 2: July 12th - 14th

Arrival time is at 6:30 on that Friday and then pick up will be by 11:00am on Saturday morning. Dinner and brunch will be served. The cost is $10 per kid. Matt Johnson is the Dean for this retreat. Explore raging whitewater in the beautiful Payette River Valley where we will prepare you for problem solving. We mix knowledge of outdoor and Dutch oven cooking, basic medical and emergency evacuation with river knowledge. Learn how to flip a boat back over and get in, how to read water and guide paddle strokes while observing an impressive combination of native birds, fish and wildlife.
