Howdy fellow camp alumni and camp lovers! Come out Friday, June 17th, for a fun filled night of music and drinks at the Columbia heights VFW on 45th and Central. Music will be provided by the awesome cover band, Greyduck with Chelsea Csargo on the vocals who is a former camper, staff member, and current volunteer. This event is a special night to donate money to future campers. Let's help provide kids with the opportunity to experience the magic of the Hodag while building memories they will carry throughout their lifetime! Everyone is welcome... So bring your friends! P.S. Explore! Youth Ceramics Camp - Detroit, MI
Moms, Dads and Grandparents! Are you looking for an exciting and educational experience for your child during the summer months? Our summer camps are designed with age-appropriate projects to accommodate children age 6-12. Your child will explore several classic children's books through basic clay hand building techniques and mixed media arts projects. Students will create uniquely fired ceramic pieces and other crafts that explore classic and contemporary children's stories. Gain animal, plant, and environmental knowledge while having tons of fun in our local outdoor ecosystems around Stonington Harbor. Apply your new knowledge and become a Sound Super Hero as you take part in a student run wildlife fair and decide, formulate, and carry out an activity with your fellow classmates to help benefit the Sound and its wildlife. Use the ancient art of gyotaku to create a fish print on a T-shirt and enjoy the rush of boogie boarding and stand up paddle boarding. Food Cart Freewheelers will again bring campers around the city with one great ambition: to find the best lunch, while exploring the foodie side of Portland through its many food cart offerings. Campers ride to a different food cart pod everyday and learn to budget and plan their spending. Campers can look forward to broadening their understanding of cycling and cuisine, and experiencing the empowerment of earning a hot lunch with a week of riding. Fossil Beach Field Trip (Led by our very own Mei Len Sanchez Barr) June 29th 9am – 4pm $80 Are you ready to go Fossil Hunting? Join our team of fossil hunter enthusiasts, where we will go in our ECOADVENTURES Snake van to Matoaka Beach in St. Leonards. Put your skills to the test (and with a little luck), dig, unearth, and uncover, shark, crocodile, whale, skate and rays, and shells fossils from the Chesapeake Bay! Best part- is you get to keep what you find! Learn and participate in seining activities where we will look at the marine life and catch fish, eels, shrimp, crabs, and more! Have your team participate in a beach scavenger hunt. All this fun will make you hungry for a BBQ lunch with hot dogs, chips, and a drink while you relax in a gazebo overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Floor Hockey Camp - Main Street Recreation Center
Check out a one-of-a-kind indoor game that involves the fast pace of real hockey but on a solid surface. During this camp, participants will learn the offensive and defensive fundamentals and mechanics of floor hockey. This camp will include stick handling, passing, shooting and goalie techniques as well as team drills. Participants will also develop endurance, coordination and speed through fast and fun floor hockey games played each day of camp. Each participant should bring a water bottle. Junior High Camp #1 Outpost - Cedar Crest Camp
Outpost Camp is our newest overnight camping option at Cedar Crest! Campers will go to stay in a remodeled cabin for a more intentionally rustic experience in the midst of Gods creation. Campers will cook several of their own meals, spend one night in a hammock, do some star gazing, and spend time hiking the grounds daily.
