Spring Camp - Half Day Afternoon - Mockingbird Baby
We want you to become the next Leonardo Da Vinci! Using LEGOs, students will be introduced to Da Vincis inventive machines. This is your chance to be challenged with projects built around creativity, design and engineering. Leonardo created and improved upon the greater mechanical wonders of the world! Inventive minds will be able to build Odometers (to measure the distance a robot has traveled), Lifting Jacks (to hold & raise heavy loads), and not to mention the inspiration for the HELICOPTER. Join with us as we aspire to relive the excitement of Leonardo Da Vinci. Teen Camp 9-4pm wk 3 - Frankfort Park District
The Frankfort Park District would like to present Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp program for youth entering 7th ? 9th grade in the fall. This full day camp will provide plenty of outdoor activities, water days, arts & crafts, and a field trip each week that a teen will enjoy. Special guests will be invited to this camp including sports, art and science instructors. Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp will be held at Commissioners Park, located at 22108 S. 80th Avenue in Frankfort, along with the use of Chelsea Middle School, which is located next to Commissioners Park. Drop off and pick up will take place at Chelsea Middle School, located at 22265S. 80th Ave. The camp will run from 9 ? 4pm, Monday thru Friday, with a before and after care option. Bring a bag pack, lunch and water bottle each day. Lunch may be included on certain field trip days. Registration must be done in person at our main office located at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street. A copy of your child?s birth certificate will be required at the time of registration. Is your camper a LEGO maniac? Campers will use motors, gears, pulleys, levers, wheels and axles to create radical creations. They will love the fact that they are learning engineering and teamwork skills while having an awesome time making new friends who share their love of building with LEGO elements. Pottery Camp w/Lego Animation, Ages 9-12 - The Yard School of Art At Montclair Art Museum
SummerART Camp Full Day Pottery Program 9:30am to 5pm Pottery Camp with Lego Animation Session II: July 11 to July 22 Pottery Camp This camp is for children who are interested specifically in working with clay to create pottery, sculpture, and more. Campers are grouped in age-specific classes (6 to 8, and 9 to 12). Campers will have the opportunity to use the Museums diverse collection of Native American pottery as inspiration. Much of the work created in Pottery Camp will be kiln fired, some will be functional, some will be decorative, and all of it will be treasured for years to come. Much of this artwork will be displayed at the receptions in Leir Hall at the end of each session.
