LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Summer Session - Cycling - Pre Season Cyclocross Camp - Killington Mountain School
The KMS Cycling preseason CX Camp will leave you ready and eager to begin the 2016-2017 Cyclocross season! There are many skills and race secrets involved in Cyclocross, and this camp will cover most of them! Topics include cornering, sand, barriers, hole shots, run-ups, and off-cambers, to strength and conditioning methods and plans, race preparation, course inspection, race tactics, pit management, bike maintenance, set-up, and repair, the importance of tire pressure, preparing for training/racing in inclement weather, riding efficiently, video analysis, practice races, and pathways to the elite levels of cyclocross. There will be demonstrations, drills, training rides, on-bike games, discussions, and guest appearances from top collegiate and local pro racers. This camp is targeted toward motivated 13 to 16 year-old junior Cyclocross racers of any ability. Boys Lacrosse week 7 - Knott Hall
Coach Ben Rubeor will run the 2016 Loyola Lacrosse Camp. Ben was named the USA Today National Coach of the Year and the Maryland Private School Coach of the Year after winning the 2015 MIAA ‘A Conference Championship. Ben was a three-time All-American attackman, two-time Academic All-American, and two-time team captain at the University of Virginia, where he won an undefeated National Championship in 2006. He was also named the ACCs Top Male Scholar Athlete in 2008. He played 8 seasons of professional lacrosse, served as a team captain of the Chesapeake Bayhawks, and won 3 Major League Lacrosse titles. He will lead a staff of Loyola coaches and players to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun and competitive environment. The camp is designed for all levels of players. Campers will learn individual skills, including stickwork, footwork, dodging, shooting, and individual defense. Campers will practice these drills in an up-tempo environment. In addition, campers will learn team concepts and compete in a number of game-like situations, and they will have the opportunity to earn a number of prizes.
