Fencing captures the imagination of kids of all ages, but it requires a trained, experienced instructor to learn safely and correctly. The Young Scholars Fencing Program is being run by the coaches of the Central PA Fencing Association. Coach Wes Glon, the Head Coach of the PSU Fencing Team personally trains and hires the coaches for this program. Coach Chuck has 40 years of fencing experience and has been part of the CPFA programs since 2006. Your child will learn the basics of sabre fencing with an emphasis on sportsmanship, safety and history. We make the learning experience fun and rewarding for the students. /GOALS: Month 1: - Fencing History: Olympic sport since the first Olympics in 1896, difference between Saber, Epee & Foil, French sport - Safety rules (fencing is one of the safest sport) - Basic footwork: advance (movement forward), retreat (movement backward) & lunge (movement to reach) focusing on the balance - Description of the Saber, parts of the weapon, how to hold it. - Footwork, coordination games Month 2: - Introduction to the gear: glove, mask, jacket & saber - Target area: 3 different area to cut: mask, flank & chest - How to cut using... 8142379727.0

No parent wants to hear that their child has diabetes. But when you learn that it is manageable you carry on. That doesn't mean letting them go to camp was an easy decision. But once we visited with the staff at Camp Discovery we knew our girl was going to be supervised and look after by counselors who understood the challenges of living with diabetes. The due date is strict and all those turned in late will be placed on a wait list. Forms must be turned in with at least partial payment to reserve your spot. Arrival/Pickup Times: Meet directly at Covecrest at 7pm on Friday, September 23. The retreat will end Sunday at Covecrest at 11:00am. Please have your parent pick you up from Covecrest at this time. Packing List: sleeping bag or sheets & blanket, pillow, towel, toiletries, changes of clothes to include Mass clothes, pajamas, Bible, journal, Rosary, water bottle, snack to share, warm clothes, tennis shoes. No spandex permitted in co-ed areas.

Winter Kid's Horse Camp - Hereford, AZ
Our Winter Kid's Horse Camp is scheduled for December 27th through the 30th, from 9a-1p daily, with a family barbeque and demonstration on Friday. We teach basic horse care, horseriding skills, and teamwork! It is a fun experience for every level of rider. Ages for camp are 5 to 14. Register today!

Directed by our Upper School varsity coaches with the help of our student-athletes, sports camps offer a full day experience of skills, drills, and fun on the beautiful, athletic facilities! Recreational swimming is offered every afternoon to let the campers have some fun while cooling down! 267-405-7520
Clarendon Spring 2016 - Clarendon Elementary
SPRING 2016: SURVIVOR FROG! Have you ever wondered how to make fire without matches, purify water, and build your own shelter? Or what you would do if you were stranded on a desert island? If so, then join Survivor Frog! We will learn to recognize and prepare edible plants, track and stalk wild animals, and make rope and baskets out of plants that grow in your neighborhood park. Our amazing Animal Ambassadors will be our guides as we gain survival skills, learn to work as a team, and explore the natural world all around us! There are no breaks during this session. Students will learn different aspects of line, shadow, volume, and composition by working from drawings of the Masters - still life and plein air. Create beautiful still lifes and plein air landscape paintings from photos, models, and nature.
