The Coaches at Functional Effect are excited to announce registration has officially opened, and a limited number of spots are available, for our Youth Athletic Development Camps. 2 Camps Available! *Ages 8-12 - start 6/14 *Ages 13-18 - start 6/13 Our athletic development camps are designed to help your student-athlete build skills to help them both on and off the court. Our 8-12 group will have an emphasis on basic movement pattern development, and SAQ (speed, agility, quickness) Training, while the 13-18 group will also dive into proper lifting technique and strength and explosive power development. Both groups will also receive education on how to maximize their results during camp through good nutiriton! (Finally, someone else gets to tell them to eat their veggies! :) DO NOT WAIT to snag your student-athlete a spot in this highly anticipated event. 2nd Annual Youth Campout - Middle Fork Wildlife Mgmt Area
Bring your kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews. WFBCHU 2nd annual youth camp. Friday, September 18: Check in 5 pm. Ride at 6 pm. Hobo dinner assembly upon return from ride. Leave No Trace demonstration during dinner. Guitar music and sing along. Hobo dinners and smores provided by Chapter. Saturday, September 19: Creakfast cooked and provided by Chapter. Service project if applicable. AM ride. Lunch on your own. 2 pm Ponies on Parade. Decorate your horse with animal friendly paint, glitter, ribbons, feathers, etc. We will lead decorated ponies through campground. PM ride if desired. First aid demo. Dinner hot dogs, chips, pork n beans provided by Chapter. Scavenger hunt 7 pm. Campfire smores and music. Sunday, September 20: Breakfast provided by Chapter. Ride. Good byes. Pre-register for a 2:15pm audition time for Peninsula Youth Theatres CENTERSTAGE production of "SEUSSICAL." Registration guarantees you a spot in the 2:15pm audition group. You must be age 8-18 or have prior executive director approval. Children must be 8 by 3/17/16 to participate. PLEASE NOTE: TO KEEP YOUR SPOT you must arrive by 1:45pm with your paperwork completed for check in and measurements. If you have not arrived by 2:00pm your spot will be given to someone on the waiting list and you will be moved to the next available audition slot. GAS Camp is for all of the kids who just cant get enough of games, sports and science. We will be playing games such as ultimate Frisbee, Handball, Splashball (similar to water polo), along with old favorites like soccer, basketball and volleyball. When our bodies need a rest we will use our minds to create simple machines and science experiments! Designed for campers who have completed grades 5-8. GAS Camp will run concurrently with MADD Camp. Campers will have meals together and occasionally overlap activities like worship and waterfront time, but most of their programming will be separate. 810-844-1499
