America's Talent Tutoring Adolescent Services is hosting it's first annual summer camp. We will be utilizing basketball as a platform to discuss health and fitness. The camp will also focus on the realities that we face in the world such as bullying, interaction with law enforcement, individual life skills abilities. With the right type of foundation being provided our youth will have insurmountable success and the desire to pursue secondary and post secondary education. The summer camp will assist parents by providing support and resources parents can utilize to keep an idle mind occupied.

Our Power Moves camp is designed to teach players how to become more productive offensive players in the paint and the most effective player on the court when driving to the basket. You will learn how to score a "three-pointer" the old-fashioned way; draw a foul, count the basket and make the free throw! Power Moves is for centers, guards and forwards. Outside Exploits March 18 – April 29, 2015 (No Class 4/1 or 4/22) Climbing rocks, building sand castles, and erecting stick structures are some of kids favorite activities to do outside. This session of Science Explorers takes advantage of its location to experience the rich science behind kids play. We will certainly take advantage of the weather events to stomp in puddles (if it rains), draw shadows, and make kites. Trekking for the Health of it - Old Trail School
Join Mrs. Wilson for a 3-5 mile intense hike in the beautiful CVNP. Be ready for strenuous trails by wearing sturdy hiking shoes or boots and carrying a water bottle. Eat a good breakfast for energy and stamina. We will be on the bus promptly at 9am to be able to get back to school in time for lunch. Bring rain gear and be ready for some serious hiking fun. Ages 9 and above unless Mrs. Wilson gives written permission to a younger child who is capable of these hikes. Instructor: Holly Wilson, BS, Old Trail School Grade 4 teacher and former national park volunteer *Optional Backpacking Adventure Add-on to Trekking Camp After a week of trekking, some students might want to do a little backpacking trip. Students can meet at Brandywine Falls Friday at 5pm and hike 4 miles to Stanford Youth Hostel for an overnight campout. Pick up at Stanford Youth Hostel at 10:00 am on Saturday morning. Camping cookout dinner and breakfast will be provided. Students bring and carry their own backpack, sleeping bag, camping mat to sleep on, dishes, utensils, and clothes.
