Our speaker will be Reverend Jason Lee, a former camper and a outstanding minister for both the young and the young at heart. There will be classes for all ages and under 6 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Your Pastor or Youth Pastor will have detailed information for you on Sunday. Have you ever wanted to Splatter Paint? If, so this class is for you. This week will include outrageous and spectacular projects that allow you to be creative and explore the unordinary. Campers will get to splatter paint, create shaving cream art, explore Pop art through Photography and more. But OH, Wait! Thats not all! We will end the week with squirt gun painting! Sammy Slug Summer Camp, Session #8b, Half Day - Youth Programs
Sammy Slug Summer Camp is offered by the Office of Physical Education, Recreation & Sports (OPERS) for boys and girls entering 1st through 6th grades. Based at the East Field House, this camp is offered in one-week sessions June to August. There are half day and full day options, and pre-camp and post camp care is available. Throughout the week the 5 camp tenants which are Responsibility, Respect, Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Team Building are reinforced and integrated into the curriculum. Camp activities include a variety of sports such as basketball, tennis, frisbee, and soccer; outdoor recreation such as hiking and swimming; and other arts, crafts and outings to keep the campers engaged, active and creative. With a camper to staff ratio of 10:1, the camp focuses on creating a safe environment with a program designed, implemented, and staffed by experienced recreation professionals and UCSC students. All staff are screened through a criminal background check, certified in First Aid/CPR and trained in safe practices. GRADES 1st - 5th LOCATION East Field House

This session is for young campers age 7 who love puppies and dogs, or young campers who need to overcome a fear of dogs. Campers will be introduced to basic responsibilities of pet ownership and the needs of a canine companion by working with rescue puppies and dogs. Campers will engage in play and structured games involving puppies and dogs that teach dog handling skills, dog safety, and promote having fun with a dog. This session will also include animal-themed family movies, animal-themed arts and craft projects, and homemade dog treats prepared by campers. Session fee includes a t-shirt and all activities and materials. You will need to pack your campers lunch daily. 850-294-1964
