Join us for daily adventures in writing. Well read fun stories and make up stories of our own to share with others. Students will read mentor texts and have the opportunity to create books based upon their life stories. Beginning Songwriting - Old Trail School
Campers will interact and explore their creative ideas, as Dawn Sommerfield from DeMarcos School Of Music will teach basic songwriting. Campers will analyze popular music and use those songwriting formulas to compose lyrics and music in a fun group setting. Campers that play an instrument are encouraged to bring their instrument, however no previous musical experience is required. All who want to be creative are welcome. Matt Bonner Basketball Camp (9th-12th graders) - Christa McAuliffe School
Matt Bonner Basketball Camp helps teach campers the fundamentals of basketball. This camp allows your child the opportunity to spend a week learning from New Hampshires only NBA player, Matt Bonner. This camps highly skilled staff is comprised of the best local professional players, collegiate players, and high school coaches. Come spend a week enjoying the game of basketball in a constructive environment with us! Camp Info: -Each camper is responsible for bringing his/her OWN basketball every day to camp -Please write your name clearly on your basketball -Camp Time: Monday-Thursday 9:00AM-3:00PM, Friday 9:00AM-12:00PM - Friday will be held at Rundlett Middle School -Pizza, water, and Gatorade will be on sale during lunch -Friday, July 1 will be known as "SWAGGY FRIDAY." -On SWAGGY FRIDAY, campers will receive t-shirts, basketballs, autographs, photos, etc. and there will be a special awards ceremony. Parents are encouraged to join us on Friday. Adventure Sailing M,W,F ($215 for 1 week, Members) - Nantucket Yacht Club
Please select a minimum of one week. The class, which meets 3 days a week, will have a distinct goal for each day: Long Sail Day - try to sail as far as possible from the club using wind direction, current/tide forecast, and navigational aides. During the following class the student will chart their course on a chart in the Sail Room with pins and yarn, and we can compare progress week to week. Star Chart Day - Students identify skills from the star chart they want to achieve (Anchoring, knots, upwind sailing, etc), and finally Catamaran Day! Students may take this course for a maximum of 4 weeks, and class may not be held if less than 2 children are signed up. The goal of Adventure Sailing is to accumulate the skills for the student to check out a Rhodes 19 on their own. (Note: Adventure Sailing will not be held during Race Week.) 508-228-1400
