Youth strength and conditioning camp - Houston, TX
Calling all youth athletes and aspiring athletes!!! Parents, Bring your kids out to this clinic to improve their knowledge and skills in core strength, conditioning, footwork and combat fighting drills. This is a free event that is proposed for kids from second to eighth grade. The instructors of this event are Police Officers who enjoy working with youth on becoming better people and athletes while giving tips to improve their proficiency in any sport. If you are interested in signing your child up for this event please contact one us in a direct message. Again, we want to advise that this event is designed to give workout tips to all athletes!!!! Please be aware that this is a volunteered event and injury may occur. If injury occurs, we encourage parents to contact medical personnel. Open to kids ages 4-18, (different age groups available) campers are invited to Frequent Flyer's Aerial Dance Studio to learn skills on trapeze, aerial fabric, sling, acrobatics and so much more. Campers will work to combine dance, theater and improvisation to cultivate the skills necessary to become a performing artist. Each week campers will divide into groups based on age and ability to help us transform the equipment into a magical world of flying bodies and soaring spirits! Welcome to Lights, Camera?Camp! Columbus Recreation and Parks performing arts camp gladly returns for a third summer of theatrical fun. Campers will learn about acting, set design, costuming and much more. All week, the campers will build their confidence while trying something new. We will showcase their accomplishments at the end of each week with a short performance for friends and family to enjoy! Theme: Under the Sea Flexible drop off time between 7:30-9 am. Daily activities for children who are in the two-year-old program are based upon projects and units of study. A balanced schedule provides experiences in group and individual settings and includes stories, music, language experiences, natural discovery, and inquisitive discussions. Classrooms are arranged into centers that include age-appropriate educational toys, materials, and games based upon the interests of the children. These include centers for books, blocks, sensory materials, art, puzzles and manipulatives, math, science, and dramatic play. Children have the opportunity to work and play in these centers individually, with a friend, or in small groups. Choosing centers provides practice in making decisions, following directions, working independently, and learning about the care and use of materials. Outside time offers opportunities for gross motor development (including climbing, running, jumping, pedaling, and building), social interactions, as well as a chance to experience weather and seasons. Children can also experiment with sand and water during these outside periods.
