Takedown Gyms Battle Camp Core is designed to teach young wrestlers the needed skills, technique and positioning in order to build a solid wrestling foundation. Like all Battle Camps, students will be taught to apply what we are teaching in order execute properly in live situations. Wrestlers will come away from this camp with the understanding of what it takes to train, perform and win. AKAs Lacrosse and Soccer Week combines two of the countrys most popular youth sports. Lacrosse Camp teaches kids the basics of the fastest growing sport in Minnesota through series of drills and games. This is a very recreational Lacrosse camp that features professional coaching for both the boys and girls styles of the game. Throughout Soccer Camp, kids will receive professional World Class soccer instruction and plenty of games and competition for the worlds most popular sport thanks to our professional AKA Soccer Staff! Of course, kids get a chance to play a multitude of sports as well as the feature sports throughout the day including basketball, soccer, dodgeball, kickball, even some ice time. Middle - The Prairie School
Designed specifically to meet the needs of middle schoolers, the daily program offers a diverse selection of activities, arts, academics and experiences. Campers explore science, arts and crafts, math, environmental education, computer keyboarding and software, and geocaching each week. The camp offers instruction and supervised play in a variety of sports. In addition, campers will learn the importance of teamwork and charity as they join the other Hawks Haven campers on field trips when appropriate. Tap for Beginners (Youth) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This course is designed as an introductory course for children who are interested in trying tap for the first time or would like to work on their technique and tap vocabulary. In this class the students will learn the basics of the American Musical Theatre tap dance style, as well as choreography to at least one song. Students will learn basic tap terminology along with tap performing techniques which will provide the student with a well-rounded knowledge of tap dance. This class is designed for 2nd-8th grade students. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelors degree in Theater, focusing on Musical Theater Performance, Directing, Dance/Choreography, and Lighting. He has been very active for the past 10 years in the Alexandria theater community, working with theaters such as; MVCCT, PCP, ACCT, and LTA. He has directed, choreographed, and fight choreographed children and adults alike.
