I think in this day and age it's so important for girls to have the opportunity to bond with other girls without distraction. Yes, I'm talking about boys and texting! What's amazing is that our daughter didn't seem to miss either this summer. She came back from Alpengirl so confident and self-assured. She's also eating a lot more salad. This will be our 3rd consecutive December hosting a Coat-A-Kid Charity BootCamp! Come out to support an awesome charity, have fun and get your sweat on... that is unless you hate kids! ;) All fitness levels are welcome! Classes are 1 hour and begin at 8am & 9:30am. Max 20 people per group so be sure to sign up in advance! $20/person (you can pay at the door or in advance). The $20 donation will cover the cost of a NEW coat, gloves and hat for 1 child. TO REGISTER: 1) We have a sign up sheet at the gym. 2) Email us at BlueOceanFitness@gmail.com and let us know which time you would like to attend. Coat-A-Kid provides new coats, hats and gloves, free of charge, to kids in need in the St. Louis area. They are 100% volunteer run, so 100% of the proceeds go to coating children!

Pottery Camp w/Fashion Illustration, Ages 8-12 - The Yard School of Art At Montclair Art Museum
SummerART Camp Full Day Pottery Program 9:30am to 5pm Pottery Camp with Fashion Illustration Session III: July 25 to August 5 Pottery Camp This camp is for children who are interested specifically in working with clay to create pottery, sculpture, and more. Campers are grouped in age-specific classes (6 to 8, and 9 to 12). Campers will have the opportunity to use the Museums diverse collection of Native American pottery as inspiration. Much of the work created in Pottery Camp will be kiln fired, some will be functional, some will be decorative, and all of it will be treasured for years to come. Students in class will learn the exaggeration and enhancement of the fashion figure by studying a live clothed model. Class Shows will be Friday 4/1 and 4/8 at 7PM in The Loft Armed with the ability to execute all of the elements of a Harold, you will now learn how to improvise the structure of your shows, leading to wildly inventive pieces that challenge you to express yourself to the fullest extent of your creativity, and help that creativity evolve. This level includes four performances on one of the iO stages. Passing Criteria: Students must demonstrate an ability to navigate all of the elements of a Harold when those elements are not in a training wheels structure. Students must have demonstrated an ability to make choices within a show to drive it structurally using the various elements at their disposal from Level 5.
