Incoming 7th and 8th Graders will learn the basic usage and safety of some hand tools, power tools and machinery (routers, drill press, scroll saw, spindle sander, disc sander, palm sander, cordless drill, lathe). All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a list based on their experience. The list will be sent home in the FIRST week of the course. Examples include a cutting board, wood bowl, routed sign, garden tray, gumball machine, and bag toss game. Calling all kids, ages 4-14, for our 3rd annual "Playful Picasso Kid's Camp. " Two nights of fun, art, giggles, and grins! Two nights, July 13th and 14th, $79 per child for both nights/$49 for one night. Lots of art choices, tie dyed bags, and more! Light meal included each night!
CIRRUS MINOR Battling for a slot on SUMMER CAMP 2016! - Des Moines, IA
$5 gets you admission and one vote at this special ALL AGES event, where 4 regional bands (including CIRRUS MINOR) will compete to win a slot on the SUMMER CAMP MUSIC FESTIVAL in Chilicothe, Illinois on Memorial Day Weekend; this would have us playing alongside Mudcrutch (with Tom Petty), Umphrey's McGee, Fishbone, STS9, moe., George Clinton and P-Funk.... and so many more! We need your vote! Also, we need people to help spread the word- we haven't played since October, plus, Joe Corbin (our drummer) will NOT be playing this show with us- he and his wife are expecting a new baby within a couple days of the show- so you will see a Cirrus Minor show unlike any you have seen before... gonna get creative! So, join us at the show (and be sure to vote while you are there)... And if you can share this event, invite friends, or help pass around a few fliers, we will be eternally grateful! We’re debuting 5 mini-camp sessions designed specifically for the “older kiddos!” These camps focus on fun and skill building over 3 consecutive afternoons of concentrated creation – allowing time for larger projects and deeper investigation of themes hand picked from customer recommendations! These camps run from 1-4 in the afternoon and are designed for students in 5th grade and up. Early bird registration rates are $75 for 1 mini camp, $100 after May 15. August 2-4: FLOWER POWER – Power to the petals! During this camp you’ll be learning the basics of flower arranging and creating artworks inspired by flowers.

Rain date, if needed: 5/26 Rovers Soccer Skill Building is directed by professional soccer coach and NJ Youth Soccer Hall of Fame Inductee, Spencer Rockman. This weekly, high energy session puts emphasis on skill-building games, which promotes maximum learning and enjoyment - enhanced by a small-sided match. These sessions are family-friendly, since siblings can play at the same time, divided according to age/ experience. Rovers accommodates all levels of play for boys and girls.
