FOR CAMPERS WITH GATEWAY CHRISTIAN CHURCH GROUP ONLY. Any misplaced registrants will be removed from this session. Younger campers need a lot of reassurance and unconditional love, and that is exactly what they get at 7/11 Camp. For many kids, 7/11 Camp will be their first experience away from home. So, every action-packed 7/11 day hums with words of love and encouragement sung by a staff hand-picked for their Christ-like patience and sensitivity. Counselors coach and praise the kids while they learn and explore through games, pool activities, and much more. Each activity leads to greater confidence and character building. Counselor training builds moral and spiritual application into each and every activity session. The 7/11 leadership staff creatively share the importance of a life lived for Christ through themed events at night, 7/11 worship, nightly devotionals, and one-on-one time getting to know your child. Mandarin Immersion Camp - Footsteps@Shores
Footsteps Mandarin Immersion Summer Camp is an opportunity for extended Mandarin immersion. While having a fantastic time, your child will begin to acquire the ability to use Mandarin correctly and confidently in various daily tasks and social situations. Our dynamic, experienced staff is either native speaking or fluent. Campers spend each day moving from one activity to the next, designed to provide an immersion experience while still allowing for a ton of fun. Your child will love exploring the language and traditions of China by tasting authentic Mandarin cuisine—using Chinese words, of course, and learning about and creating traditional Mandarin arts and textiles and taking field trips to expand your childs knowledge. A week or more of camp will help boost your childs language ability! There is a weekly field trip and special event. Two healthy snacks are provided each day.
