Learn how to be a rockstar! Are you a guitarist, bass player, keyboardist, or singer with a year or more of experience? Then this is the camp for you! Gary Backstrom, lead guitarist for Jiggle the Handle and currently touring with the Gary Backstrom Band, will be supplying the beats of classic rock and R&B. Summer is coming quickly and that means your children will be out of the house more and running around. You may not always be there to keep an eye on them so they need awareness and physical skills to back them up. Summer time is when your children have a greater chance of possible interactions with strangers and potential preditors. Let us help you get them armed with battle ready skills. What they will learn: *Abduction defense skills *What to do if they can't run *Assertiveness training and command presence *Think smarter than the bigger, stroner bad guy, and more... Cost will be $35.00. That's little to pay for "safety insurance" that can last a lifetime! Second child in same immediate family is $25.00 and $15.00 each after that (must be siblings in same household)

This year, we would like to extend our day to 3:00 p.m. to include afternoon activities such as service, swimming, bowling, skating, etc. In order to add the component, we need willing adults to chaperone the afternoon outings. Teen Winter Camp features team-building challenges, discussions regarding diabetes and life as a teenager, snow sledding, snacks, good company, snow fights, games, and a variety of opportunities for personal growth. Siblings and friends WITHOUT diabetes may also attend.

This camp is open to children ages 7 to 12. Students will explore the key elements of both long and short form improvisation. The children will play numerous improv games which will serve to develop and enhance their public-speaking, social, and team-building skills. This camp will be conducted in a non-judgmental environment where the students will build confidence, make friends, and most importantly… have fun. Snacks will be provided on a daily basis and there will be a pizza-party for lunch on Friday. The camp concludes on Saturday with all students performing in a graduation show on the stage of the Push Comedy Theater. Each student will receive a Push Comedy Theater T-shirt and be eligible to perform in the 4th Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival in late September 2015.

For the creative rider who derives their inspiration from the bicycle, this is the camp to let their imagination go wild. From small trinkets to a funky custom bike, the possibilities are endless. Campers comb over unserviceable bikes, salvage parts that inspire them, and breathe new life into them by fashioning their own bike-based crafts. Time tends to be split evenly between rides and crafts. Skills they will develop: • Controlling speed around other riders • Taking left turns into bike lanes • Riding on various surfaces • Shifting gears for efficiency • Map Reading and route planning • Wheel removal and flat repair 503-288-8864 x321
