Fantastic coaches, no experience required, lacrosse sticks and pads can be picked up at camp. Join the ?Fastest Sport on Two Feet? today!! This camp is aimed towards the beginner to intermediate player. NOT the travel team player, unless he/she is looking to have fun and hone in on the fundamentals of lacrosse. The FUNdamental program helps teach players the fundamental skills of lacrosse in a PE class-style learning environment. We use a variety of games to enhance a player?s understanding of how to use the fundamentals of passing, catching, shooting, picking up groundballs, and dodging. ACADEMIC - INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS - Notre Dame Academy
This course will teach students the basics of the history of robotics, along with key components of robots and how they developed over time. Following completion of short web research work, students will work in teams to learn to build robots, to program them and to use various sensors to make them "smart." As students progress, using Lego Mindstorm EV3 kits, they will learn to create more "sophisticated" robots that can do things the simpler ones cannot. Students will be graded on their knowledge of robot history and their components, as well as on their ability to complete specific exercises with the robots. This "hands-on "course is not only fun, but is a great learning experience! This is a college ID camp for the advanced player, age 15 and up looking for additional skills training. It offers a chance for players to work with college coaches and interact with college players. Come enjoy a week of theatrical experiences including: playwriting, costume design, the actors process, and even performance! Students will work collaboratively to create a short play which will be performed at the end of the week. They will use both imagination and research to inform their artistic choices in everything from design work to acting. Additionally, students will explore improvisational theatre in both long and short forms as a means to stimulating the playwriting process and deepening their acting skills. Students with and without theatre backgrounds are invited to come explore, learn, and play! Rachel Wright is a passionate theatre educator who seeks to help her students grow their understanding and compassion for the world, life, and humanity through the magnificent practice of theatre. She has a BS in Theatre Arts Education from Appalachian State University. After college she moved to New York to pursue a career in theatre. She was accepted by Circle in the Square Theatre Conservatory Program where she concentrated on her craft. Upon graduating she began performing in countless off and off-off broadway productions.
